I also made my own Jason costume i made a Hood out of tape and painted it and i painted a cheap Halloween mask from Spirit Halloween And dan drilled 3 More holes. And then chopped The Four head because it looked like square.

In your opinion what is the better latex mask method? Brush on latex or cast of sculpt and pouring latex in

If you are doing a "one time only" mask then I would go for the brush on. It takes more time than the pouring method but it saves you making a plaster mold. The pouring method is better if you want to have more than one of the mask you have sculpted.

It depends on how thick you want your mask to be. You need to let each layer dry before adding the next one. 10-12 layers should be enough.
