I know right? I just can’t wait to feel ALL the power. If this things running high 6s bouncing the rev limiter and blowing through the converter, I know it’s g low 6s in it at the same boost with a good converter. Should easily go 5s when I start turning it up.

Hope you get a hold of the denbob and figure out the issue. Sounds like you should get a name brand converter if the jegs one is in the 4s. I just put one in from Ryan Jans at Florida torque converter.

No is definitely blowing through the converter. Although I’m shocked this TH350 has held up this well. I’m betting the converter being so sloppy is probably the only reason the transmission hasn’t went yet…..because it’s never seen the full power of the engine. 🤣👍

Naw brother we’ve got several different vehicles on the channel. The DR Nova is running a 4L80 with the Total Transmissions Chicago converter. The Chinavette is running an RPM Level 4 4L60 with a TCI street fighter converter, and Chaos Theory was running a B&M nitrous hole shot converter.

Looks like they wanna put me on some $1200 converter. Which would be fine if I had a good trans. But I don’t wanna pay $1200 for a converter and then trash it when this transmission blows a month later. 😔

@@BadLuckGarage oh I understand completely. I'm building either a powerglide or a th400 for mine.. Haven't decided yet but my sbc ltx396 stroker w afr 220cc heads is almost done. I'm going with a QuickFuel e85 850 carb . It definitely takes time to get it all right the way you want it! Lol

Brother I stopped using carburetors over 10 years ago. 😉 We had nitrous on it last year, but with the stock truck efi setup. We built this twin turbo setup about 20 videos back….maybe more.

So glad to see you back at it! For a converter, I can highly recommend PTC out of Decatur AL. They will build you one to your build specifications. They built me a 3500 for my 4.8 turbo build in my GMC & it was spot on. I think I gave $525 for it. It will be money well spent. And with your channel, they may give you a break on the price.
