base game sucked? i disagree it was so bad, except maybe at launch. its only 2023 when division 2 gameplay finally caught up. the problem is the team still makes a lot of glaring errors. for example, the mode survival is actually dead. i get nagged by benitez every time i go near the BoO to talk to kekich about some game mode nobody plays but you cant shut him up just by queueing for the mode since the matchmaking cant find anyone. that has carried over into div 2 - every day i log in, or if i go to the dz, or fast travel, the game tries to tell me how and what to play like im doing it wrong. currently its a ui prompt to play the current league, which you have to hold dpad on controller down to dismiss - until you travel again. STOP TELLING ME HOW TO PLAY THE GAME I BOUGHT! and they nerfed the darkzone in div 2, splitting it into 3 to force pvp on everyone. so most dont bother with DZ in div 2 except a few people running round just grabbing chests and resources and not even shooting, and some players not good enough for conflict mode, who hang around to gank lower shd watch level players who are trying the DZ - one time only, then dont go back. they just tried to patch this with a flawed system of shd levels. you get put into a bracket, like in the division. only, if you have a low level friend just playing but you are SHD 1001+ then he or she gets yanked into your bracket when one joins the other, so... only for solo players then. worse than all this is a more coercive problem. rather than benitez nagging you to play a dlc you made the mistake of buying in div 1, warlords of new york for div 2 traps your agent in new york. this has just been undone but they are still patching bugs caused by the fact you used to have to complete the dlc to be able to return to washington. if you wanted to be top level, you had to get to 40 and could only do that in new york dlc. and you had to kill keener to come back, or delete the agent and start over. now that sounds fun? not for many of us. lets invent a game where you are a super agent of SHD, with lots of gadgets, activated to help save what remains ie people being preyed on by gangs post apocalypse. now lets have a dlc where the enemy final boss - who you have to beat to go back and play the main map again - can hack all those gadgets except healing, shoots down your healing drone, and uses medkits - sorry armour packs - frequently while taunting you. oh and you cant shoot him at first because if you ignore his missile long enough for it to launch, game over. just like survival or whichever mode i get nagged at to talk to kekich in div 1, i wished to god i hadnt bought the dlc. because without the dlc and levelling to 40 i would have left the game a long time the state it was in, and not being able to level past 30. with the dlc trapping my agents behind a fight that takes away the reason the game exists (the tech gadgets) and turns it into just another bullet sponge fight like CoD token campaign, i left the game for over a year even once my agents beat keener. div 2 is a hell of a lot more fun now you can come back whenever but its been so long the original team moved to other games (div 2 was in a coma for a long time) and the current team is making errors through not knowing the player base remaining very well, and not knowing the engine or code well either - hence unlocking returning from ny and allowing levelling to 40 in the base game map causing lots of unforseen bugs only just patched and probably more will come. on the whole, the post apocalypse isnt as interesting a world to me as the first game. i would rather (assuming div 1 was abandoned due to old engine) they had recoded div 1 into the snowdrop engine then had dlc with new maps like washington. the div 2 campaign isnt bad. it just seems like it was a div 1 dlc spun off into a whole game because they had a better engine, and with too many changes to the gadgets like turrets. probably due to better graphics on newer consoles. both games are fun, but its evident from the fact the div 2 dlc was new york, and the coming one is supposed to be brooklyn where you begin in div 1, that the devs realised making washington the main map, in a different season months later, may have lost the div 1 atmosphere and tension (ongoing pandemic). and i will leave it there.

@MadmanEpic Thanks for taking the time to produce this look back at Survival! Sadly, no mention of the lesser known "Sun up run". The ambiance of experiencing the Sun rise in a Survival run is pretty unique (fog decrease, false dawn, fog increase, actual sunrise). Any Survival veterans out there that haven't done this: it's a must.

Browser games have been a life saver for me. I lost my Prevage to has any games other then this one (I kinda hate it now :[) and Ik what you might be thinking, “why don’t you just get games in secret and delete them before your parents find out?” It’s weird if they look at my battery usage or screen time and see 70% of it is on a deleted app. With KZbin (which I can only use for crochet videos) I have a reason to be on it :) use some, or we’ll, a lot, are bad but some are good enough for me

I honestly think ubisoft should remaster division 1 as their next entry into the series i think a remaster knowing what they know now after almost 10 years and development and continuous support of division 2 would make the remaster pretty damn good.

I wish div 1 got more support, the atmosphere drew me in, the idea of it had me excited, the ability to run into the dark zone and fight for your life against tough ai and fellow players, you even had to watch your back against your own damn teammates because even they could come for you if they felt like it

Scavengers(2021) was the closest thing to survival imo. Sucks it got shut down. And marathon feels like it will be similar to this but with an apex legends look to it.

There's not a game exactly like Full Speed Racing on Steam right now.
