I play survival at least twice a week. I know every nook and cranny of the map, and it's still satisfying!

apparently a lot of performance issues go away on a modded xbox with the upgraded CPU. Not by any means a solution out of the box, but looking at my first playthrough soon, I may upgrade my xbox before trying

I honestly prefer division 1 almost entirely because of it's vibes (plus the story, although flawed, is still better). Maybe it's just the New Yorker in me, but nothing beats apocalyptic NYC in winter.

I hate getting division stuff in my feed because i realise im never going to have div 1 dark zone experience ever again, words cannot begin to describe how special that was, no other game has even remotely enticed me like the high octane OG dark zone experience. Playing with a random squad then betraying them to grub loot, or being betrayed and having to fight for your life, good times man, good times

I’m genuinly gonna go give that a go because of this video… it’s made me sad that I used it when it first came out. There is not many games that match the atmosphere of div 1, except maybe max Payne for obvious reasons

The survival mode, for me, was what the original atmosphere for the Division was supposed to be. Collecting food and water mattered, scavenging every building for supplies and clothing felt like it mattered when it got cold. The fear of running into a roaming band of NPCs without the proper weaponry to deal with them felt like real survival. This whole game mode is what sold me on the Division as a brand. Sad that none of this really made it into the base game itself. Maybe in the future, but I don't know.

I wish Ubi made it so the survival elements, like cold, hunger, thirst and pure scrounging for even a scrap if of progress, avaliable as rules for the base story. Imagine fighting tooth and claw for Manhattan's soul through a huge snow storm. It would be awesome! But not only would it be fun, but also a good idea, and Ubi being Ubi, they'd probably throw it out the window

Survival is one of the best gams of the last 15 years. I still play it today. If they had released it as a standalone free to play game back then it would have been as big as Fortnite.

honestly if the Division is the best extraction shooter, then the extraction shooter genre sucks.

Winter 2020-2021 I was working on getting the achievements in The Division Survival DLC and man oh man. Running through that game in empty lobbies collecting loot was one of the most atmospheric gaming experiences I've ever had. Every 3-4 hours I would into one or 2 other players, adding to the feeling of loneliness. Plus it being like 30-40F outside in real life helped. Was the best part of the game, I'd say the Survival DLC alone makes the Division 1 a better package than the Division 2... and I 100% both so I know x.x

There's a long history of games based around novelty peripherals, but at least the represent a bold move to do something original or different.Yes, they were more often than not a financial disaster, but they took a chance and rolled the dice, and the sheer amount of ambition in something like Steel Battalion will probably never be seen again, but successful or not, will always be remembered. RIP innovation...hello Assassins Creed 14, Call of Duty 23, and this years rehashed carbon copy edition of FIFA

maybe instead of putting out shitty mobile games on to the platform, we have good games like on Steam. i get that you will have to pay for them but at least they're worth playing. depends on how you review the game, example: PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS which is free in this case. this is just one of the ways to make it better in my opinon.

I find it strange that they've not tried tackling the Tekkie philosophy in VR yet. Closest we've gotten to a game like that seems to be Elite Dangerous, which, honestly, was transcendental with a HOTAS setup. And the devs pretty much abandoned VR in that franchise (to the agonized screams of their community). Popular opinion blames management ineptitude at Frontier Developments. But it does also suggest the possible explanation that the math doesn't add up, which would then sadly mean nothing like this is likely coming to VR any time soon. Which would be real sad.
