I could just listen to you all day talking about synths and classical musicians.

you are in the 1% of sytth players that have good imagination, good music knowledge and can actually play from music rather than just noodling - this is another great video from you, thanks for posting it.

I would LOVE to listen/buy/stream a whole album (or albums!) of you playing Bach on synthesizers. It's so wonderful.

Both the flutey patch with the velocity compression, and the brassy timbre without, are lovely

Sounds so sweet on that patch! Repro5 has such cool sounds. I saw the goldberg variations performed by a saxophone quartet earlier this year, that was quite the experience

Sounds lovely, like Bach was meant to be played on a synth.

One of my favorite albums of all time.. Switched on Bach. Strangely, barely available these days.

I agree Bach is so good on synth!

Pre-velocity patch it sounds like a horn and actually still sounds like it works beautifully Octave lower it's a full on brass section!

Hey, kids, have you heard you heard the good news about JS Bach? Dude died 270 years ago and with only 3 lines could write music more compelling, intellectually engaging, spiritually uplifting, and emotionally potent than 75% of the Western music written after his death. Pretty cool, right? Know what’s even cooler? All his surviving scores are free and there are a mountain of recordings to choose from. Jokes aside, it’s a great time to be alive because, wow, I’ll never get sick of JSB.

Canons are group to separate the different developments of the Goldbergs, these all have sort of a mathematical arrangement to it (probably not telling you something new here, sorry). Baseline are a top notch thang on Bach‘s Goldbergs and also on the Welltempered Piano. For me, the tempo can be faster (see my variations) because contrary to evoking a romantic tone (which is a nice touch, though) I hear a bit of techno or even funkiness in the baselines, which I personally find fascinating.

OK, Now you really need a Virus.....the kind made by Access and used by Howard Scarr. I play his patches all the time on my old TI. We need another general "synth talk" from you about what is really bugging you (besides me), and what is driving you, and what has moved you. Thanks for all your wonderful work. I'll never forget your help with DM12.

Is anyone aware of a similar tool to the live velocity plugin in Logic?
@intheblink4 жыл бұрын
No, but you can just turn down the mod depth in the plugin and get mostly the same effect. I’m sure something exists or you could find a script for it.
