Clicking the "notification bell" does absolutely nothing in my experience. So I get here a day late again.😡 Cornwall and the magic of Tintagel and of course that Castle. Haven't been there in years, but I expect it hasn't changed that much. As I recall, there was a popular Post Office with a squashed roof. Probably still in need of replacement. 🤷🏼♂? Fantastically edited video, interspersed with the gradual creation of "Sophia Porridge". 🥣 Forget so called superfoods and their failed promises of eternal health, wealth and endless joy. 🤔 Avocado, Chia seeds, Flax, Blueberries and bloody Chic peas. 🤮Might as well go and chew a hedge. So move over for "Sophia Porridge" it has real energy within, with the "slightly" higher sugar content it damned well should have. Now I'll bet the British Diabetics Association are looking out for a new Flagship superfood to guide them on their way to a healthier lifestyle for their members, what do you think ? It might need a catchy motto or two for promotional reasons. How about, "Sophia Porridge, drive out that bothersome Insulin, you don't need it when you have Sugar Baby Love". 😉🥣 Could make a catchy tune too. Please ride carefully and keep uploading more of your magic and charm. 👍🏼

Very mysterious, this algorithm business. I was presented with your post out of the blue - and I am very glad to.... a real hoot all 'round. I spent a couple of years down that way as a teenager. We moved around a lot....Torbay, Brixton, Paignton. Bringing back fond memories....on the whole. Ta.

@@lionheartmachines2193 I was about twelve when we arrived in Torquay from Bristol...'73. Bit of a culture shock. Could write a book. But yes, on the whole wonderful, strange times. Funnily enough, we are thinking about moving away from Bath and down to Cornwall. The move away from people continues! That said, I'm a musician, so I can't be to misanthropic about it. You seem to have terrific fun tearing around on those motorcycles...it's great to see. Before I caught the guitar bug, I was obsessed with motorcycles. As a fifteen year old I competed in trials riding most weekends. Loved it. I had a Montesa 175cc...if maintaining my guitars and equipment wasn't so costly I'd consider getting a ratty old trials bike.

Loving the music! I always have oats with honey or maple syrup, but I think I need to try the cocoa recipe now! I drove along the N.Devon coastline recently and can recommend Woolacombe and Lynton as great stops on the way through to Cornwall.

My favoiurite bowl is one I discovered buried in my garden thirty years ago. It didn't have a scatch on it and somehow I have not managed to break it in all that time. BTW that track starting at 21 mins is an absolute corker.

Great video, you can keep the porridge but I really loved the bit about Tintagel. Last time I visited it must have been back in the mid 1980's when my daughter was little, its certainly got more commercialised since then. The bridge was lower down and you crossed by the church then hade a hard uphill struggle to get to the old 14th century castle ruins. Like you Ive always loved the Arthurian myths but then my family is of Welsh extraction so my ancestors are closer to the people of that time. Well maybe 🤔

Yes, I grew up with my head full of Arthurian legends and Alan Garner books too. I'm a bit of a mountain goat on the move but I think lots of that terrain would definitely be quite challenging for lots of people. When my son was little I read a Welsh book to him called 'The Changeling' he's still terrified of it now! There are some superb Welsh legends!

Like you I grew up with the tales of Arthur starting with the BBC TV Lancelot stories back in the mid 1950's. However I've always thought of Arthur as being real - maybe a Romano/Celtic psychopathic warlord but someone who was able to keep the Saxon hordes back. Mons Badonicus was fought around 500 AD and the Saxons were badly defeated and stayed away until around 577 with the defeat of the Brits at the battle of Dyrham (or Deorham) around the Bristol/Bath region long after Arthur had died.This split the country of south and midlands/Wales in two unfortunately, with Devon and Cornwall in the south and Wales etc in the northern section. At that time the Welsh/Celtic language was only a spoken one so the Bards would have told fantastic tales around campfires and in the halls of other warlords, alas over time these stories were lost to the world 😢 However Geoffrey of Monmouth writing many, many years (1136, Historia Regnum Britanniae) later had probably heard, being Welsh, some of the tales and wrote the basic one of Arthur down in his history of the Kings of the British Isles. As you said the Thomas Mallory story with its many knights etc is what we all tend to believe now. There are possibly 3 sites for Mons Badonicus (Mount Badon) either Little Solisbury Hill on the outskirts/above Bath, Lillington Castle (another Iron Age Hillfort) outside of Swindon, or near where I used to live, Badbury Rings (yet another hillfort) on the outskirts of Wimborne in 'Darset' - Dorset to you. 😂 Of the films made over the years the early 80's one called Excalibur is quite enjoyable with a lot of young (at the time) British actors in it. Yes the armour is incorrect but it does follow Mallory's book quite well - almost anyway. If you want to find the possible site of Camelot then go to South Cadbury Castle (yet another Iron Age Hillfort) in Somerset - you can see Glastonbury Tor from the ramparts, its just off the A303 which used to be one of my favourite roads when I was younger and had a Kawasaki ZZR 1100 which could be 'quite fast' before all the gatso speed cameras were installed.

I love the thought of being Guinevere!! That's added to my ridiculous romantic notions! And Ogri....I don't know! I was in a swirl of forgetfulness... everyone was teasing me (kindly) because I forgot my tent and mattress but brought two blocks of cheese with me. The evening went by in a whisky delight and I had to share a tiny tent with a kind soul and listen to pouring rain and 600 big bikers snoring all around! But...I really enjoyed it!

I used to have a tiny little English kestrel and a female goshawk at the same time and the kestrel ate more than the gos...she had a very fast metabolism too. I'm always on the move too. And yes, Tintagel is absolutely magnificent!

I can't imagine you on a bike!! Unless it was made from pallets! I did a bit of route 66 in California last time (and Texas too) I'll do a bit more this week. I keep having this horrible image though of a 🐻 dragging me off the back of a motorcycle...so (my nephew's coming with me) we're doing Yellowstone by car.. and hopefully a bike in Arizona!

@@lionheartmachines2193 That's traditional in Scotland although some do put sugar on their porridge now. You could mb try using a wee blow torch to melt the sugar making a caramel type topping on top of the cocoa.
