Before 2010 YBCA had a reputation for cutting edge art. There was the incredible "Listening Post" by Ben Rubin and Mark Hanson, an installation composed of 231 electronic displays (11 by 21) set into a grid onto a curved wall. There was a robotics exhibition with works by Alan Rath, Oakland artist with a degree in electrical engineering from MIT. His work cited a wide range, including Alexander Calder, David Smith, NASA and Robert Moog (of the synthesizer). The work in this video is a super major letdown.

Well, I spent the first part of this interview explaining that I'm going to make a trans neighborhood which is the equivalent of those established by immigrants from other countries when they came and didn't speak English.
