@ I looked into that stuff when I was sourcing parts for this thing but it was so long ago I can’t remember what all is compatible. This is my first 1911 and boy are they way more complicated than what I’m used to lol. Had no idea how hard finding a holster would be. Gotta make sure it fits the length, the frame type, etc. manufactures only list so many models so then you gotta cross check to see if yours is the same as this other make. Then throw in the mix having it be compatible with my Safari Land QLS system for my belt, GEEZE 😂

Good morning. Great video. I have the same problem on my Ranger 900 XP. I ran across your video while searching for a solution and I am going to give it a try. I have a couple of questions. How long do you heat up the plugs with the torch? I'm worried about damaging things. Also, how much pressure or impact setting do you use on your impact wrench? I've heard stories that people sometimes pull the threads of the case out with the plug. Thanks.
@yota_blaster5030Ай бұрын
@@Surveyordavehill I guess it depends on your torch but at least hot enough that the PB blaster is boiling off but not red hot. I’m using an M18 Milwaukee Fuel on level 3 with a 5 or 6.0 battery. I don’t think a small impact like this would strip the threads but hey, that still beats drilling the plug out even if you have to tap new threads. Honestly though just alternate heat, pb, and impact, and you should be fine. This thing spun out so easy I was almost shocked.

I think that anyone actually this middle size should look into those adjustable sidecar set ups. The ones that fold on the attachment point. Simply because that comfort is something I never want to be without. Why would I ever want this one giant unmoving piece of kydex when it is just as easy to find a set up that has adapters. My personal one is the Total Eclipse 2.0 with the sidecar add on from Bladetech Holsters.

I bought one of these black polymer elements due to a great price and its smooth ergos. However, I never realized how God-awful heavy my Element's trigger was (and how squishy it is) until I tried shooting from a bench rest today to sight in some screw-on fiberoptic sights for deer rifled slug shooting. I gotta find a solution for this. Hopefully not having to get a different shotgun. I wonder if there are any aftermarket triggers.
@yota_blaster5030Ай бұрын
@@JamesBjorkSax I’m guessing they have inconsistencies and maybe I just got a good one because I have no complaints. I honestly can’t tell that big of a difference from this to one of my more bespoke shotguns. I would try disassembling the trigger group, cleaning/polishing it, and putting it back together.

Thanks for the video. As a guy with some tactical protection I use a Tenicor SL2 for my G43x mos combined with a TLR-7 sub, a PhLster Skeleton with wing mod for my 365xl same type of holster for my S&W BG2.0, a PhLster city special for my 642 j-frame and a Vedder holster with a Tulster side kick attachment for my Kimber micro 9. Most of the time I use a Kore belt but I do occasionally use a Tenicor zero belt, now I wear my holster around 1-1:30, I find that it works well for when I’m sitting, because let’s be honest anyone can conceal standing up with loose clothing. I wear clothes that fit ( definitely not tight and not LV) plus living in a sunny, hot and humid for 11 months out of the year State doesn’t help with concealment.
@yota_blaster5030Ай бұрын
@@Mike-4547 It’s nothing new but for warm weather I’ve been strongly considering a Shield 2.0 performance center with a k series Holosun. If you like Kimber, you should check out their K6s revolver. They’re known for their 1911’s but this wheel gun is every bit as good as a colt or s&w in my opinion.

@yota_blaster50305 ай бұрын
@@filipmoravec3685 It’s the best all arounder I’ve ever picked up. I say that regardless of budget. I’ve shot and handled a lot of shotguns and did a deep dive into who’s making what etc. Fit and finish is nicer than the Winchester SX4, Franchi’s feel cheap (I’ve seen a few around the 5 year mark with most of the camo finish gone), Retays are overpriced considering it’s just another Turkish made shotgun (not that they’re bad but the Weatherby and many others are also Turkish and 1/3 the price). Once you get into the upper end of the budget, I still think it edges out the competition. I don’t care how many commercials they run, I’ve seen more Benellis break or malfunction than any other manufacturer. Browning is not the company it once was same as Remington so unless you’re gonna buy one pre 1995 you’re not getting your money’s worth (with the exception of the Citori). Beretta is about the only “high end” shotgun that I can’t complain about other than their gas system overcomplicates something that you should be able to field strip in the dark. The CZ is right there with Weatherby and about the only thing I haven’t shot is the Savage. Weatherby is making some of the most underrated shotguns on the market which is fine by me because I’ll buy them up cheap every chance I get. However, it’s surprising since the MeatEater guys have been running them for years. I would have thought that would have sparked more popularity.

@@filipmoravec3685 can confirm. I limited on doves with it a few times last year (video on my channel) and I’ve shot 2 nice Turkeys with it. Not sure how familiar you are with patterning guns but the Element with the factory mod is a perfect 50/50 spread. Meaning within the pattern 50% is in the top half of the pattern and 50 in the bottom. Benelli’s are often 70/30 which is why you’ll hear guys talk about “floating the bird” essentially hovering the bead low or underneath their target. I can’t stand that. Run that mod choke for everything on the wing then get you a Carlsons full once you get the hang of it. Factory full with Winchester long beard XR and you can drop turkeys out to 70 yards. Idc what anyone says if you’re shooting doves outside of 20 yards, Federal steel dove loads are more effective than lead. Tighter and faster

@@wildwolf8983 “Allegedly”, the optic and mounting plates can “settle” during the first few mags. I asked a couple gunsmiths about it since I had a weird shift during sight in. They both confirmed that it’s relatively normal and recommended double checking torque spec at 100,200, and 300 rounds. From there it should be good. I can’t confirm or deny the accuracy of this statement but I’ve had zero impact shift since then and everything seems to be holding up great.
