Could you please tell me what you sprinkled in the mince and rice mixture. You said it was from the store? It was at about 5.58 in the video.

Looks nice, but what's the reason for whisking the whites and yolks separately?? 🤔
@YiayiasGreekRecipes4 ай бұрын
The reason for doing that. You want to avoid making an omelet. It makes a froth vs a liquid. Or else the eggs will just cook and look like an egg drop soup.

Nice but you don't cook the sauce or it automatically cooks when its with hot food? Also why separate and mix egg whites separately only to add egg yolks back in?

Looks delicious! Another recipe to try. This would be a good week day recipe. It could be cooking while I jump in the shower. One thing I did wanna mention was from about five seconds in till about seven minutes there’s no volume. The volume there for about a minute, and then it disappears for the rest of the video.
@chelseasummers23658 ай бұрын
That looks absolutely delicious. I am going to put that on my list of things to make this weekend. Thank you for sharing your recipe with us. Yiayia!

Hi Yiayia - Here's the problem for me - I would need you to write down those ingredients and where to find them because just watching and listening I'm lost :( (and the sad part is I'm full greek with no family in America) HELP! :(

they took Turkish food again. Even its name means round in Turkish. Enjoy your meal. Turkish lentil soup is also good. I advise.

Where are you!!!!! Please come back. You are the only one that cooks like my mom - exactly. You must be from the same region as her. I lost over 20 years ago. You bring me a lot of memories with my mom. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing Yiayia! I have been searching for recipes to recreate the one my yiayia made. My mother adds celery and carrots, which is nice but it is not like my yiayia's from the village. Please consider adding more recipes as it helps younger generations stay connected with their Greek heritage.

You add the water before rice? Some others recommend pilof technique where you add the rice first to coat it with oil and toast the rice, then add water last.

Gosh I miss my mom's cooking. She just had a natural instinct on how to make all these type of recipes. From stuffed peppers, to grape leaves, and an orzo /meat dish that I just loved. She also would stuff zuchini.
