Let's be real here. He shouldn't be spanking young girls asses regardless of how he intended it :P The damage to their sense of personal agency isn't limited because he "intended" it as discipline. Corporal punishment is unhealthy. Treating young women like they don't have agency over their own bodies is unhealthy. Excusing it because you assume (you can't read his mind) it was disciplinary and not sexual is just evidence you have an unhealthy lack of respect for the autonomy of either youth or women or both.
