I swapped the grips out on my circle 11 P-64 with some absolutely sick CNCd French Walnut grips and it made the pistol look 10X better. My VZ 82 is in great shape, but I think I'll look for some excellent wood grips for it, too. Or, petrified mastadon tusk grips.

Nice video… just a correction, you mention this being the stainless steel version, all SP101 models are stainless.

Your particular example of the PM is a Russian export version, so the driftable rear sight was added to give the pistol extra points. My Bulgarian PM just has a notched rear blade sight. Although my PM sights are adjustable, yours is more so. All of these pistols are fantastic and a piece of history. And becoming more collectible every day ($$$). If you like mil surp, buy it when it first arrives in the country and before it becomes 'collectible'.

You have a very simular story as min that I got passed down to me from my father and he got from his. Mine though is a 1886 with a 12g barrel on it but could be swapped out with a riffle barrel in seconds.

I suggest that you are absolutely right that a stronger spring is needed. From my experience working with springs in controls of automatic transmissions years ago, you need to experiment and get the right spring rate-pounds per inch, and the necessary spring load-pounds, at the working height of the spring. You also want the spring wire with appropriate alloy to maintain that load over many cycles and several years.

Could you make a spacer to install behind the spring to add tension to it?

The spread between the lever screw and the ejector screw (and the octagon barrel) might lead me to believe pre 1903? I'm restoring a 1903 Junior Rifle. The only stamps in it are a 4 digit number and Hopkins and Allen Arms Company, Norwich Conn. U.S.A. There is no caliber designation, inspection stamps or any other marks on it. I have had to make all the flat springs and re-line the octagon barrel. Make a firing pin and ejector. It's a labor of love but it ain't cheep. .

My friends LGS had one at a very reasonable price, May 28, 2024 Now, I had just purchased a S&W 642PC for my EDC, having previously CCW my S&W M36. So, I had no plan to or real need to purchase the 605 Poly. But a windfall, chance allowed me to trade with my friend and the 605 came home with me. My Smith 642 is still my EDC, but the Taurus 605 in my backpack backup.

These are good little guns, with the emphasis on little...very sturdy, very reliable, and extremely concealable...they are also difficult to shoot well, fast reload ain't happening, and use a small caliber...at 7 yards, run away if you can...at 7 inches, get snot or earwax on the muzzle and let her rip...it is the narrowest of niches, but no firearm fills it better...surprise is still a huge tactical advantage, one of these up your sleeve (or wherever you want to hid it), might save the day...we own the .22lr model, at 4 inches long, 4.5 ounces in weight, there zero excuse not to have it on you...

I can understand you checking if the gun is loaded for your safety and not wanting to look a fool if it goes off but why does every video have to show the audience that it's clear? Is it required by the YOU TUBE police? I mean I'm not going to get hurt if it goes off and I assume you, a grown man, knows enough to clear it before hand. Someone please explain to me why this is always done.

Ok, I have a first year E9, I bought it 10-17-1996, still have it in the original case will all paperwork and receipt. Several things, on my slide the E9 is laser dot printed, not stamped. My entire gun is Matt black. After firing about 100 rounds the front plastic blade sight came off, I had a gunsmith install a metal blade…not sure of its provenance, but it was early 1997. I put the rubber grips on it, I still have the plastic. Great gun

This was my first pistol. If I had a nickel for every time I heard the warning about how 'snappy' these are, or how it's not suitable for a new shooter, I'd be rich. People, it's not a .500 S&W. It is a direct blowback, meaning the nature of the action will produce more recoil than a Browning tilting barrel action. Not a big deal. Don't fear a direct blowback Walther PP clone in 9x18 Makarov or .380 ACP. They're fantastic and very accurate pistols. I've never seen a gun fail video where a new shooter was handed one of these and almost killed someone, ended up on their ass or committed self-deletion.

2024 now prices are easily double what you paid. My P6 is stamped 10/1989, came with 5 magazines. So they are still avalible. Your hammer with the hook is not for a lanyard. That hook would compress if the pistol was dropped on it and be an indicator to the armourer that damage to the firing pin might exist.

That FTF was user induced. There's nothing elegant about a 12g pump scatter gat. ( run that shit with authority) . IMHO way to much shite on it keep it simple. Velcro side saddle wml and sling your g2g

Just picked up a 2012 C-14, my second Connie. What I’ve already noticed is when braking or downshifting, I really slide forward on the stock seat, into the tank. It’s annoying. I can tell the seat has been re-covered, but it’s still the same stock shape. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Everybody keeps saying it has "a polymer frame" . It doesn't, it has a steel frame. Only the peripheral parts like the barrel shroud, hammer shroud, grip frame and trigger guard are polymer, for weight savings. Does anybody really think that any .357 revolver has a plastic frame?

In my opinion a gun is worthless if it cannot be used for self defense, this one is worthless. It cannot handle modern ammo pressures, and can't feed hollowpoints so it's not worth wasting your money on. Superior German engineering my ass
