The P220 were originally chambered in 9mm. I have a 1994 P220 chambered in 45 ACP they are great guns. I didn’t know they built a nickel plated slide version now I need to find one for me.

I just bought one with a nickel slide. Didn't believe it was nickel at first. Mine isn't highly polished like yours. I recently became a Sig fan, but my first experiences were with a p2022 9mm and a p250 45. Hated the trigger on both, so got rid of them. Then I got a p226 and fell in love, so I got the 220. Just got it a couple hours ago, can't wait to shoot it. The P.O. sent it to Sig and has the srt done, but doesn't feel any different than my p226. Maybe it has one too.

I’ve done some research on the older Sigs and found that people have been breaking trigger bar springs. The breakage happens when they put aftermarket grips on them; the grips do not have the proper clearance in them for the old style trigger bar springs. You may have that issue with the grip you have.

Actually it was 9mm. It has a euro mag release and 9 round mags. The Swiss still use the 220 9mm today.

I have that same chrome addiction. I've bought lots of shiny bits for my Boulevard C90 and my Sportster

Traded a bike for this gun. Thought it would make great trading material but just can't seem bring myself to do so. It's a great gun.

Yeah, the P220 was originally 9mm. I think the .45 version was pretty much a US-only thing... not to say that's not awesome.

Some good folks in San Diego fought the stupid unconstitutional 30 round mag felony law and they WON! So now no one is no longer a Felon just for possessing a 30 round mag in California.

Just came across your series of videos this evening. Great job, beautiful firearm. The nickel finish really looks good. Have you found that the surface scratches or shows wear easily, since your video was posted in January?
