Great work sir. And I must say, you could do voice over work for Nick Offerman, you two sound very alike 😆 (Ron Swanson on Parks and Rec) Keep up the good work 👍🏼

G'day from NZ. I just bought a p42 for $5(!!!!!), to go with my dad's p41s he bought brand new in the mid seventies. They are both in great condition and run with that grunty pioneer sound. Thanks for your video and take care 👍

I just realized after watching that you posted this 3 days ago. I recently bought an XL on eBay. '85 or '86 model with the HDC 65C. I already had 4 other saws, but I love these older pieces of equipment. This video has helped me tremendously. Now I'm just waiting on some parts so I can make the saw a little less bastardized. Thanks, Leon. You're very knowledgeable and do great work

Where do you get the replacement parts for these older saws? like the rebuild kits for the carburetors and other fuel related parts?

Travel Trailers (RV's) are a rip off. We need some way to hold manufactures accountable.

It’s funny you did this video. I ended up with four of these saws this last week. Thanks!!

That was amazingly simple I ended up with that exact saw at an auction for $5 bar and chain was worth that but I do like hearing these older saws run. Might be just me, I cut my teeth on a Homelite C-72 and everyone knew I was cutting wood when they heard it.

Currently have four EZ’s including the one I bought new in 1974. My favorite saw. Always thought it was the smallest saw Homelite really built to do a day’s work, before the marketing geniuses destroyed Homelite and MacCulloch.

That's awesome you still have one from 1974!!

This 1988 XL is not a top handle saw anymore, like the earlier ones. It is more like a super 2, with a smaller engine CC and fuel tank.
