Yeah it's doable. Barrel is freaking easy like on most AEG's. The spring is harder than most AEG though but the parts are definitely available. I happen to know the store I bought mine also sells pre upgraded ones. With MOSFET, barrel, spring and battery mod. Nah just regular spray paint. This one is Acrylic based. Be careful to do this in a well ventilated room though because you are basically burning it off. :) hopefully this helps

Sorry only just read your comment. The changes I made were the following: 1. Swaped the broken top cover 2. Changed the plastic grip to wood one 3. Changed the grip attachment plate to one with carry handle 4. Changed flash hider to bird cage one 5. Fixed the front sight I believe these where the things I changed. I got the parts at the following store: unit13shop.eu/nl/body-parts/ics-galil-series/g-10000100 It's a Dutch store and I'm not aware if they do international shipments for their products so I advise contacting them beforehand.

Super late reaction I'm sorry. Totally missed your comment. The scar is still working without any problems. Only thing I have had is the folding stock plastic piece (which on the real gun is also a casing deflector) broke off and had to be fixed. The fake gas block is wobbly so it doesn't feel as good anymore but yeah I mean it has had its fair use and no real problems that made it not work. Just minor things that effect the feel of the replica.

Only pysical is good for the nice steel case

I was using a m170 VSR 10 compatible spring and got around 2.1 joules I have to say upgrade the trigger assembly as well because it's made of aluminium and mine snapped in half after a while hahaha. So I switched to a steel CNC machined trigger mechanism/assembly and that worked (after a slight mod for fitment). It would have been easier and better to get the TM M40 thinking back.

So it looks like I may have accidentally bought one with newer parts as I have purchased the high velocity version which comes with - redesigned trigger unit with steel parts - lightweight, CNC aluminum piston - CNC aluminum spring guide - high power main spring Hopefully this might correct some of the issues you have faced 🤞🏻

As in will you still be able to fit that GPU in this case or do you actually plan to put this AIO on the GPU? If it is the first yeah it should still fit in this case. If you mean the latter then I don't ever recommend using a CPU AIO on a GPU. It's better to get a custom waterblock for it and go for custom watercooling. That way you actually get good contacts on the GPU die and also on the VRM's. Both of which will need proper cooling. Also with a custom block you have a proper mount for it so you don't risk overtightening and damaging the GPU die.

Originally it used TM Nihm batteries but I don't recommend it. I have been running my scar all this time with 7.4v LiPo batteries and never had any problems. The ones I used to use are: electro river 1100 mAh batteries (10x1x2 cm) but I run larger brick ones now that I managed to fit in there. They are more difficult to fit the cables but they will last forever. ATM power 1800 mAh (10.5x1.1x3.2 cm) With the later I have ran 8 hour skirmish without swapping out the battery and though I do always bring a second one just in case I didn't have to change it. On a two day skirmish I did have to swap it out but I'm not sure after how long that was since I didn't have a watch or anything to see the time. Hopefully this helps :)

I don't know how much you used it but it could be wear. Mine did this as as well and I had to replace that part in order for it to work again. I had put I stronger spring in there so it all wore out pretty quickly. I have gone through 3 entire trigger boxes hahaha. I bought a upgraded one but haven't found any that work for this model. :)

Hahaha that's the part I hate the most about working on AEG's the springs just all hate you and want to auto eject everything. I should also get rid of my black carpet because it's such a pain to find black plastic parts.
