Instead of two products, use light hold mousse. Using two products for wavy/curly hair WILL actually weigh it down. (And also make it look like ramen noodles.) Also, if you use the diffuser while your head is upside down, you can dry your roots first, that way, your ends wob't get dried out. Also, you don't want it to completely dry, it's bad for your hair. Curly hair is course and should be treated gently and with as little heat/product as possible. (Coming from a 44 year old with naturally curly hair who knows what they're talking about)

I usually do the two wash when I applied cuz I use L’Oréal one and other brands and I learned that if you don’t want do stain your wardrobe or bed I do that. Never have a problem with it thank goodness but I always read the instructions but as well. Arctic Fox is the new one that I’m going to use and hope doesn’t fade that fast because the L’Oréal took 2 weeks to fade being honest

In my case I only have my natural wavy hair after washing it, after that I HAVE TO brush it everyday, just cause I don't like the idea of not brushing it, I feel so uncomfortable. So I lose my curls/waves and it's more frizzy and has bigger waves, cause I can't be bothered having to get it wet EVERY TIME

Mel didn't say to apply conditioner to soaking wet hair. In fact, I believe she recommends wringing the hair before applying the conditioner to avoid diluting it. In the clip here, she's saying that if you're having difficulties detangling with the initial amount of conditioner you've applied to your (wrung) hair, try adding a bit of water before applying more conditioner. I don't know if this method works. I just thought I'd clarify what she said. Edit: also I don't understand the "yikes" in the title. It looks like a pretty positive reaction overall.

How do you brush it after you sleep though?
@melindab
@melindab 10 күн бұрын
@@Aria1913 I don’t! My hair doesn’t get that tangly. If it needs a light detangling, I’ll get it damp and add some leave in and gently finger detangle. If it needs a full detangle, I’d brush it out and wash it but that’s not often. Styled waves don’t need to be totally tangle free bc you shouldn’t be running your fingers through it

How long do you wait to do your hair after you get out of the shower? When you start does the hair have to be more wet than dry?
@melindab
@melindab 17 күн бұрын
@@aprilcherrybomb soaking wet hair is ideal. I squeeze some water out in the shower, put my robe on and start styling immediately. This gives me better curl clumps and tighter waves. If I style on damp hair my hair ends up more stringy and beachy so it just depends on your preference! I like both

I definitely have *some* wave/bend in my hair. And if I scrunch it, it gets lot wavier/curlier, even without using any product. If I brush my hair, it's slightly poofy. But looking back at childhood photos, my hair looked a lot straighter/smoother back then. Do you think hair type can change as you get older? Is hair really wavey if you have to coax it out?
