informative. Josh Topper (Topper Machine) has a drum style tumbler-polisher. it actually has a ramp you can drop in to make the parts walk out of the media ALSO. I saw when-how the media gets kicked up over the back - when you toss parts in. saw several jump the back

@@simcoespring if it's not under a Restrictive Warranty, you might consider getting a bit of rubber sheet to stitch in between the back of the tub and the frame. that actually seems like a pretty big design flaw

Time to buy a shipping container, wire it for lights and air to stick your new sandblaster in 🤣 I, too, really love to learn what not to do and why! The number of people out there who will say, "Don't do this because bad" without being able to say why absolutely drive me nuts. You can now state with confidence, "Nope. Do not put dirty parts in this machine, especially if you plan to paint them. It will polish them too smooth for paint, contaminate the detergent/anti-rust agent, and take much longer than a wire wheel, sandblaster, or needle scaler. Just don't do it."

This was a great video, now, as you say, you need a sand blasted. It’s interesting to know how tricky it is to get the right system with the right media to clean up the different parts. New shop power tools are fun!

Hey there, Scott like you I’m still learning how to run my deburring machine. I have a C+M cleaning products vibratory machine about the same size as yours. I picked mine up as a used unit from a friend who was going out of business, he ran out automotive electrical repair rebuild shop. They used it mainly as a cleaning unit with mineral spirits in it. I wanted to use it mostly as a vibratory deburring machine , we tried to run some of the soap with the anti-rust agent in it, but we were not very happy with it. Anything that we have that’s dirty goes through a jet wash /hot tank , we went back to using the mineral spirits for virtually everything, with the mineral spirits, we have zero rust. Our machine has a urethane liner, and the manufacturer said that mineral spirits would not hurt it. Also, if I was gonna run those spring blocks through there, I would’ve ran them through my glass bead machine after they went through my hot tank, I try not to put anything too dirty in my glass bead machine otherwise the glass beads end up being quite dirty and then they transfer it to your part. I hope you find this information useful ,if not ,well I tried. Take care and stay warm

But… how did the anvil preform, any dents in the surface of the cast steel? It clearly mushroomed the rivet but that’s skill as well as a hard surface with rebound, just curious if that cold steel has any impact on that surface

I have seen similar machines, but much larger. They would handle many more and larger parts (50-100?), but gave the same good quality finish. Your smart add some anti-rust lubricant in with the water, but you will need to wash (solvent?) before painting. Are you considering powder coat ? Not cheap, but it gives a very long lasting finish.

I had the same idea, however a friend told me it's a bad idea UNLESS you fully weld that plate/tube. Rust/scale will build up between the frame and your plate, bulging it down and throwing off your alignment. Just something to keep in mind

I have been following you and your channel for quite a while and would also like to see more videos, but I do also realise what a pain it is cutting time working to make the videos. I think the last video from you that I saw was getting the CNC machine in and trying to figure it out and the coding required and now suddenly you're making multi thousand batch runs and we all got left out of any of the learning parts you went through, plus I'd also love to see it working on the current batch of plates and such as well please. One of the channels I follow is a guy who makes cutting boards and knife handles and only posts about as often as you and is also an amazing guy with a work ethic like yours and is www.youtube.com/@KrisDeVo . He has had to buy an amazing number of high tech machines too to ramp up production as his business has grown. Love your work!

not normally. if you even touch a bushing you will have to do an alignment tho. so if you change bushings or torque rods, you need an alignment.

Great video. The same just happened to my 2008 Hummer h3. On the rear passenger side. Same brake in the exact same area. My Hummer only has 70,000 miles on it. I was lucky. I was on the highway earlier in the day. Mind happens a few blocks from my house. I heard a rubbing sound. I made it home. When I turned off the truck and tried to apply my emergency brakes it was very hard. When I got out I saw my rear driver-side tire push backward toward the finder well rubbing on the mud flaps. I purchased this in 2010 with 50,000 miles on it now it has 70,000 miles on it. This is my backup vehicle. Another ward if I have been driving this regularly. This would have happened sooner.

You forgot to tork the bolts and let us know to recheck after 50 miles or so. You should add antiseze on the bolts also to help you next time you do the job. Would you not do this if it was your truck. I would. It shows you care about how good your skills are. Your video was great to watch, though . Respectfully Dave.
