Trying to use the word 3d pop but has no understanding of it 😅 watch Camera Conspiracy's videos again as hes the one who coined that term on this platform

A good example of “brand” marketing. Blackstone Group owns Leica, gets Fuji to make Sofort cameras, Panasonic to make their mirrorless cameras, prohibits those publicly traded companies from using more durable materials as their deal with them, spends 10% more for using more durable materials for their versions and sells for at least 3x the price. All the components are still made by the Chinese, South Korean companies. By buying these cameras instead of the cheaper versions, you are directly contributing to funding this nonsense. I hope Chinese manufacturers get better and obliterate this fake market.

Will it be good with S9 ?

Your weight numbers may apply to the E-mount version. As for the sharpness test, I don't see any difference.

how will this be with Panasonic S9 ? Too big ?
@marvinling1434Күн бұрын
Due to your time limit with the lens, sharpness is the only thing you get to test out. But a nice lens not only about sharpness if adding up other aspects, perhaps it’ll worth closer to its price. Anyhow there will be a brand name tax.

The colors of the Leica M(P) 240 are really unique. Would love a more modern camera with the same form factor and the old color science 🙌

My main issue with this lens is the weight i cant seem to get around that. The 50mm 1.8 is significantly lighter

Would you prefer this over a panel? I've been debating between this or the nanlite flex panels.

I feel that I am the only one who hates the kit lens 20-60mm, I find mine to really suck and try not to use it. I have the 50mm f1.8 and I am searching for an other lens, usually I prefer prime lenses but I think now a zoom lens might be more useful, would you recommend the 24-105mm or the SPro 16-35. I am not sure which one would be a better choice? Used I can get both for practically very similar price.

I would like to ask is it worth to buy lumix s5iix in January or just wait for any new great camera coming out in 2025 ? I am clueless about any successor or soon-to-be released one

So essentially they ripped off Caleb Pike's CineBack from Camera Foundry but only make it $20 cheaper? I would purchase from Camera Foundry instead. Caleb is good people and has been supporting the community for well over a decade.

Great video! Completely agree this lens is likely the best in the lineup for image quality alone. I had one from launch, but after a few years I sold it because it's just too big and heavy for me. I used it with an S1R and that combination weighed around 4.5lbs. Glad you're enjoyng it though, it really is special.

Meike is actually pronounced "Me Key" according to their sales rep in Canada. I was saying Mikey as well and then I heard them say it. But I yea these asian companies need to add phonetic spellings in their english documentation of the company names sometimes LOL!!!

Will say I did get the ZV-E1 and I consider getting rid of it for this as the image quality is too grainy and awful, but my lumix use was like Black Magic and nothing else matters

If you're going heavy the Rokinon/Samyang 35-150 f2-2.8 replaces a lot of f1.8 primes at 1.3kg.

Hello, I want to know what is the best setting to shoot a cinematic video like the one in this video. I have the same camera as you. You are brilliant and I would like to know what settings you used to do this on my camera. Thank you.

Hello Josh, Thank you for the fantastic video! It was really helpful. Please help me out! I’m looking for the right settings for my teaching lectures, where I’ll be standing in front of a whiteboard. I want to ensure that the focus is on both me and the whiteboard while I’m writing. How would I handle autofocus well in this scenario? Also, what lens would you recommend for this indoor purpose? Thanks so much!

I resorted to buying FF Nikon, Mft Panasonic, underwater Olympus, and DJI stuff 😂. I will also buy a Sony ZV E1 for night shots. All these cameras are tools in a bag. Expensive hobby 😅.

If Lumix can make a lens that is comparable to the Leica APO lens in resolution performance but charges only $1000, won't they have done it and the lens will sell like hot cakes? How about $2000? The answer is it's not possible, or else they would have done it. Also we buy a f/2 lens because we want to use it at f/2, not f/8. It's the light rendering characteristics, the bokeh, the behavior under adverse lighting condition at wide opening apertures that differentiates the lenses. If we use f/8 all the time, we should just stick with an iPhone. Now, a more worth while comparison will be between a Leica APO vs non-APO lens and ask whether it's worth paying the extra money for it, to do that, you'll have to do more in depth testing.

Hi Josh I got mine for 1€ when I baught my S1R + 25-105 combo It failed two times and went for repair At the third time I sold it The manual focus clutch had a bug Since then I no longer trust any of the lumix lenses unfortunately I tried some of the f/1.8 but too much of chromatic aberrations. Since the I use Leica SL lenses and I know they are expensive but I bought all on second hand market and there are no issues at all with them.😊
