Romans 11 is essential. If it is not correctly, grammatically, historically, contextually interpreted, it will tilt the Church toward Anti-Semitism. Don't believe me? Look how the Catholic Church has persecuted the Jews; see how even now the Reformed/High Church types are moving toward helping the Democrats help Hamas all in the name of anti-genocide. At the end of the age the Jewish sheep will look up, Revelation 1:7, and All Israel Will Be Saved, Romans 11: 25-27. Take the entire chapter in context and you will get it. Just trace the nouns and pronouns referring to Israel from verse 1 of Romans 11 to verse 26. If still unconvinced, try to substitute "The Church" or "believers" for the nouns and pronouns referring to national Israel. You will give up as you see how ludicrous it is to say the Church is in reference here. Here's an example: At what time does God harden the hearts of the Church? Get it? I'm not telling you that you have to get yourself a J.N. Darby study Bible. I am telling you to read the passage without your denominational backgrounds.

According to the Christians the book of Hebrew was written by Paul, Thimothy, Apollo, Barnabas. why do you believe in the book you don't know who did write it. I can tell the Christianity is invention pagan religion Actually all New Testament were written in Greek and not in Hebrew?? Paul was false prophet and changed all God's law. why like Sunday Roman god instead of Sabbath that means Rest. also, Christmas, Easter and last supper, not Passover, Jesus died for your sins. I never asked anybody to die for me. really the NT is full of mistakes. but false misinformation is part of Christian faith. Jesus is not Jewish name. some Christians changed to Yeshua. and many more myth Christians today, Shalom Aharon

Each one of your objections to Christianity, are ones that I'd be happy to address and help you to understand. On a KZbin message board, it would be difficult for me to adequately address each of the points you made (many of which have answers that can easily be found on other Christian websites). But if there is one or two specific points that you would like me to address, please let me know.

Would you say that we become partakers of the divine nature when we are as it says in 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever. The new man that is referred to in 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, Eph. 4:24, and Galatians 6:15, and I believe 1 John 3:9 says that new man does not commit sin, or do you think he is not talking about that? I think this was a thought provoking video.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point he is guilty of all. The law was 430 years after Abraham and there were 613 laws for the Jews to abide by, no man could do that except for Jesus who fulfilled the law. I do not think your interpretation of Matthew 7:21 is correct, the will of the Father is in John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believes on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. Matthew 7:21 Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall inter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. You inserted [or who has "faith"] that is not there. Verse 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? Verse 23 And then I will profess I never knew you, depart from me, you that work iniquity. When you say faith if you are referring to them relying on their wonderful works for salvation instead of relying on what Jesu did through his blood sacrifice on the cross then I agree, he said he never knew them, never means "at no time" did he ever know them, because they did not believe on the name of the only begotten Son of God. But if you are saying they had faith because they called him Lord, Lord, then I believe you are misinterpreting these scriptures, if they had faith, they would have been justified by their faith according to Romans 4.

This is really good. The question I have outstanding about Galatians regards the Jews in the Galatians churches and whether he was advising them also to not circumcise their children or continue to follow Jewish customs.
@TheBibleEffect
@TheBibleEffect 22 күн бұрын
That is a great question. Paul does not have anything against circumcision as a practice. He even had Timothy circumcised (Acts 16:3). However, he does have a problem when people claim that the act of circumcision is a necessary step of justification before God. Jews are free to continue to observe the practice of circumcision, and the Mosaic laws of kosher diet and the keeping of Sabbath/festivals. However, they must remember that observance of these does not put them (or anyone else) into any position of extra favor with God. I hope that helps!

Thanks for that. I thought that “suffering made Jesus perfect because he completed a full circle of life when he died. So I thought his death meant completion and when he said it is finished, he completed life on earth as we do in full circle. ⭕️

Great videos in general. However this line seems a little out of step: "Remember, Paul is trying to make the case that both he and the message of Christianity are not a threat to the peace of Rome." Then, a few minutes later it says Paul is challenging the social norms. That's the bigger point - Paul is there in Rome challenging everything that Rome stood for - power, prestige, wealth, war, and all the social norms. Caesar was believed to be a god, along with all the other gods in the Roman pantheon! There was no way Paul was going into that meeting thinking "hey, Jesus is not a threat to your entire way of life. I just want to keep the peace here." Today, there are scholars who think that the Book of Acts was actually more of legal brief that would be presented before Paul's trial. As the video shows, and as we can tell in the letter to Philemon, Paul knows that what he is doing is counter cultural and what kind of trouble he could get into. He knew that just like he knew that he would have been free, had he not appealed to Caesar (Acts 26:32). He was using these opportunities to present the gospel of Jesus to the Roman world.

Thank you for your very thoughtful comment. We really appreciate you taking the time and energy to provide your feedback on the video. Let me try to clarify the meaning behind the line, “…both he and Christianity are not a threat to the peace of Rome.” The reference to the ‘Peace of Rome’ is specifically referring to what is commonly called the Pax Romana (Latin for ‘Peace of Rome’). After years of unrest and civil war, Caesar Augustus instituted an era of internal peace in the empire that lasted for about 200 years (more or less). During this time, the empire experienced freedom from the insurrection and civil wars that marked previous times. The line mentioned is referring specifically to this Pax Romana. Paul (nor any Christian at the time) was not advocating for violence or civil unrest to overthrow the emperor or the Roman Empire as a whole. In fact, Paul advocated for the Roman Church to be subject to the governing authorities (Rom 13:1-7). As you mentioned, it seems that in Acts, Luke is also making a case that Christianity is not a movement that is of any threat to the Pax Romana. However, also like you said, Christianity would bring a huge upheaval to how society functions, especially the value systems and culture. For instance, in the small letter to Philemon, Paul wisely refrains from openly protesting the system of Roman slavery, as that was a very sensitive topic in Rome (i.e. the Servile Wars). However, in this letter, Paul challenges the social norms of what Christian brotherhood and equality in Christ looks like. In Christ, both individual and societal transformation happens through His Spirit, not through violence. I hope that helps to clarify that line for you. Thank you for your comment!
