Great post! Very informative. Yeah, ebay store sound like a good idea. I use store bought top water, with no lip. Walk the dog style. Do you have any videos of simple lures? Like broom handle lures. A little less though heavy. I will experiment on my own. But, would appreciate any thoughts that you may have.Thanks for posting.

I see you bought another budget trolling motor. You'll learn to spend the extra money. You could have bought a good one for the money you spent on the Newport and water snake. Ask me how I know

I had 2 minn kota and 3 motor guide in the past 15 years....the newport lasted as long as any. The watersnake is not one I'll buy again.

Excellent, excellent, very informative video. Maybe make it so people can bid on your lures but set minimum price because these beauties are worth their weight in gold, if not more. Just make sure that you have molds of all of them.

Thanks 🙏 Franco, as we already debated on the past, you showed us 2 main methods to get the volume: submerging or density. Big difference between the 2 methods, several grams! I use to get my volume using both methods then get an average number between. Thanks 🙏 again for your super interesting masterclass!

Hey Franko, thanks for such a wonderful explanation. Waiting for the next part. I just wanted to know whether the weight calculations change according to water salinity? I meant to say salt water vs fresh water. thanks & regards.
@EngineeredAngler3 сағат бұрын
Yes it does...use 1.025g for the weight of water instead of 1g

Do the hinges actually serve a purpose? Could this bait work if the blades were simply embedded into the side of the lure body?

Thanks for the video ! I use acrylic paint, what should I use to clean when paint is dry? If I do the coating right after and spread with a brush, coat is kinda retracting in some small areas, and result is ugly…

I'm really new but cutting the slot in the top and forming the harness for this is at some combination of the small scale and the wire I had is the most frustrating thing I've tried in this hobby so far. Took me two attempts (butchered the cut on the first one so badly that I had to restart) but I learned a lot. Great video.

I bet no bass on the planet has seen this presentation before. Love the out of the box thinking. I will be laid up for rotator cuff surgery. Will be watching all your videos and taking notes. Like Suchajerk, I also use nail art foil. It has a veeeerry thin foil on a plastic backing. You apply glue (thin epoxy) and peel off the plastic. When done correctly, no measurable weight is added to the lure. When I foil, I do the entire bait (except for the bib). You can always cover it with opaque paints. Three colors work for me: silver, silver holographic, and clear (sometimes called white) holographic. If you are interested, I can send some info via email.

Best of luck with the surgery 👍

Could you expand on “curing” a lure after carving a sanding it? Since you have not applied any type of coating or material, are you just talking about curing the wood? If so, why is that necessary if it has been sitting on the shelf at hobby lobby for a month?
@EngineeredAngler5 күн бұрын
When i talk about curing I'm referring to the casting resin. The resin is usually the biggest problem with finish imperfections.

Do you think having the red tubes 90° at the nozzle tip is more effective than say 80° coming from the red tubes? Any tricks to prevent acid burn or streaks? I’ve been told it’s better to use a tiny bit more silver solution than reducer prevent the white streak burns. Red powdered rouge on a cotton ball very lightly massaged on acid burns will remove the milky burn streaks. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated!! Awesome job making your videos!!❤
@bryanschauer58675 күн бұрын
Does the insertion length of the red tubes into the tip make a big performance difference? You can also dilute the chemicals if it’s helpful in particular applications. Angel Gilding has a new formulation that reduces the chances of burns that will be made public soon. I just got some and I’m eager to see if there’s an improvement. Thanks again for being so AWESOME!! 👏🏼 ❤

I played around with the angle...90 is best. The most touchy part is not putting to much on...it starts to go black. Flaming the surface before is key.

I am a new subscriber. Love your stuff. I am a custom lure painter and have designed several successful wooden lures. I saw the action on this lure in action with the dressed treble. I know this one had issues with a high center of gravity. Still, I could help but think how much better it would look if the feather was attached to the top lobe of the tail. I'm thinking of trying this approach, maybe with a dressed single hook.
