The only issue I see is, if you don’t do the transfer on plain, unprepared wood so the wood grain can show through, this is no different than just gluing a photo to the wood. And a photo would probably look better

I really like the effect on wood with the woodgrain coming through ☺ it comes down to personal preference & the effects you desire ... you can certainly just collage images onto the wood and it would look great! 😊

Hey Marian... thanks for watching ☺ try sitting your bottle of Powertex in hot water for 3 -5mins then stir thoroughly until it feels like its an even consistency, put the lid back on and shake well... see if that helps ❤

The photo needs to be a laser print onto regular photocopy paper 80-100GSM... it can be colour or black and white - whatever you prefer... colour photocopies from the print shop are usually laser prints... I hope that helps ☺ Enjoy creating!

It’s thinner than gel medium… it actually a decoupage glue… I love it for so many different applications 😊 you could try gel medium & see how it goes ❤

You could use it over any paint colour (it won't give you crackle effects like Powertex will)... it works REALLY well with Powertex...

Just seeing this today. It's just after 10am in Minneapolis Minnesota USA. I am hopeful this will help me create metal tiles of colored sugar maple tree leaves so I can make a piece of art that will last the rest of my life. Many years ago my younger brother was getting married and as with anyone getting married, they pick out things from companies they want their gifts to come from. I found and purchased a colored metal tile wall art piece. I believe they love it, as it's still displayed in their new home, years later. So. I have been looking for something similar and I do think I am capable of creating something just as beautiful.
