OUTSTANDING!!! 10/10 I have to put a new engine in my L200 also. I saw a guy with a Mercedes engine in one, and enquired about it, but the costs started getting ridiculous! If you don't mind me asking what ball park figure did you have to spend?

What gearbox ??? How much power and torque ?? Do you believe it is a better option instead of i4 4m41 in terms of service needs and reliability?? Can m57 twin turbo low boost withstand the work truck needs??

Got an 97 gen2 3500.... look at a xdrive 35d engine swap. Wonder if best to use the bmw transmission or would the current Mitsubishi pajero one work?

How did you go about insuring it with the modifications you made? Did you just declare the engine to the DVLA and tell the insurance that it has been swapped with a different engine? I've go a K74 at the moment and have been waning to do an M57 swap for ages so will be doing more or less what you have done, be much appreciated if you or anyone could recommend how I would go about insuring it properly

hi bud you just need too get it checked by a certified garage who deals with that sort of thing . then mot it and just declare it on your insurance

i used the original 2.5 box for a while them upgraded too a pajero 2.8 box.
