I just purchased this....and it shows up however...it still only get 1 gig speeds...and when I go in and change to 2.5gig speeds it automatically goes back to 1gig speed, any help would be awesome!

If the NAS is connected with 10Gbit and it's running all SSDs and you have a 10Gbit connection on your endpoint then you should be editing just fine off of it with no stutters. What protocol are you using? SMB or NFS? Did you tweak it accordingly?

I took am old Inspiron 560 that had a password on the BIOS. I tried forever to figure it out. I followed the third step by taking battery out and putting back and it was literally able to change my boot settings F12. Thanks man!!!!

Nice setup, East/West array gives great long solar days. Do suggest you get some temperature controlled fans underneath the inverter to keep it cool in summer as they don’t like being cooked! Might want to also think about some insulation for the batteries in winter as they stop working when temperatures approach freezing.

That's got some heft. Love the wall box too. I'm getting air conditioning fitted and will need an upgraded consumer unit on an outside wall. Was thinking of boxing it in just for a bit more security. This looks like a nice option. If I get it right for that I'll probably repeat it for my home battery set up

Tnx, My Macbook pro 13 wouldn't charge from the airliner's USB inside the plane, not enough power I suspect, although other USB devices like my iphone would. My Mackook would charge from a car UCB.

its good but sadly currently not "future" proof with its 108TB cap, that may seem like a lot but seeing how Seagate released 32TB in january, we can expect these to be available at a decent price in 2-4 years, that means even just a 4bay Synology cant take 4 32TB disks

Directed at Synology - encrypting a backup? One way for traumatic frustration if you have the backup and not the password. Versioning on a system duplication? Synology make it too difficult IMO. Does this backup exist in a proprietary file, or can you view the file tree? Its probably easier if I just write my own little script. Synology should make easy uses easy. The detail should be hidden till you dig into it.
