I think I've only seen the "rat log" in its full glory ONCE in dozens of visits. Usually the jeeps come through so often that the fog doesn't have time to build up to the sort of solidity needed to sustain a coherent projection, so it's just a sort of half-hearted flicker and you can't even tell what it's supposed to be. The one time it DID work it was kind of cool, though mostly just for the novelty of "Oh, THAT'S what it's supposed to be." Also, the actuators on the ride used to be significantly more intense; I actually prefer the "dialed back" version, because the SOOPER XXXTREME version felt so fake to me. Like, "if the road were really as rough as it feels, we'd definitely have gotten stuck or broken an axle by now."

This is the only disney ride I can think of that shares only the name and concept with its counterparts. Aside from tokyo and hong kong being clones of Disneyland, almost every iteration of Space Mountain is a completely different coaster.

Disney is so damn cheap, especially considering how much money they bring in every single day. The park should have gotten even better in these last 20 years, but it only got worse. I can no longer recommend Disneyland to people, and they'd have to do something REALLY impressive to ever bring me back. I think they've neglected the park in the same way they've neglected their Hollywood division, too. What did they spend all their time and money on - acquiring 20th Century Fox? Hope it was worth it! Here's hoping for another "Disney renaissance" someday, because they sure need it.

This series was fantastic. I was obsessed with Indiana Jones as a kid and we went to Disneyland in the summer of 1995 from the UK when the ride opened. As a five year old, it terrified me! It seemed real. When the ride started, I remember worrying that someone in the vehicle would look into Mara's eyes after we had been warned not to. All these years later, it's still my favourite ride anywhere in the world. It's a masterpiece. Great work man, this brought back a lot of happy memories.

The original attraction in WDW has so much artistry which makes it truly remarkable. You legitimately feel like you are wondering up to a ghostly hotel that time forgot. I think the extra space for the queue and structure itself helped a lot.

I feel like the Disneyland splash mountain portrays the story in a bad way. B’rer Fox only appears in the trap scene and then totally disappears until he catches B’rer Rabbit. It must be hard to understand that B’rer Fox and B’rer Bear are trying to catch B’rer Rabbit until the log arrives at his lair.

I'm so glad I got to ride this attraction before so many things changed. I truly felt the peril of the setting and being as young as I was at the time was in awe with how immersive a ride could be. It's up there with Universal's Revenge of the Mummy. I literally could not forget the thrilling sensation if I tried. I went a couple years back and while it is still really fun to experience, there's something I can't place that just feels different. It was nice to have the chance to compare, though.

After riding Magic Kingdoms, I’d still say Disneylands is the best, but it’s closer than I expected. While Magic Kingdoms is a bit rougher, I would say it’s a lot more thrilling than Disneylands and I feel it’s a bit darker and has a bit more intensity. I still love Disneylands more especially with the on ride soundtrack but I think both give very good and unique experiences

7:25 I swear every time I've gotten on the ride past few times I've been to Disneyland the projectors and lighting just don't work so we're just left looking at blank, white projector screens. I don't know if that's suppose to be the effect and I'm just missing something, but I've actually had to see videos like this one and "How it Works" to find out what exactly it's meant to be. Side note: I didn't realise the intro doors were broken. The first few times I got on the ride, I thought I was just remembering wrong for which door we entered so that was an incredible effect! But the most recent times, I kept thinking I got unlucky. Sad that part never got fixed.

I like the Matterhorn more for a few reasons. I like the outside queue for the fresh air, a lot to see outside and you can stand next to the mountain to take in the visuals/ sounds. Bob sleds are jerky but that’s the charm of the ride going in and out of the caves. There’s 2 tracks so your not sure what side you’ll be on til the end. Multiple “working” yetis.

Disney doesn't just add IP rides for money, they add them to their parks because it draws attention to some star wars or marvel fans or fans of other Disney characters. That just want to come to Disneyland or any Disney park for the sake of seeing these rides or IPs in person. 'Cause that's what Disney is about to let your fantasies, your imaginations come to life. An original ride is hard to come up with since we're now living in a new era.

They have NEVER known what to do with that dark room before the skeletons. When we got evacuated off the ride in 2007, they gave us a full tour and said it was supposed to be bat cave with lots of moss and stuff hanging from the ceiling, but ran out of funding so they just painted the room black and played squeaky bat noises. There was literally nothing else in there. Today they've added the projection of the tunnel out collapsing, but it's terribly unconvincing. The lightning effect in the bat cave is something, but it's still so obvious is the most poorly thought out part of the ride.
