The BEST Disneyland Background Music

Random um, fact? About some of the Main Street land music: I noticed some old school Broadway showtunes being played in the land. One, when the last time I was at the park back in March 2018, was "Put On Your Sunday Clothes" from Hello, Dolly! (Or Wall-E as many Disney fans will know) a Jerry Herman musical (He also was the man behind Mame starring Angela Landsbury aka Mrs. Potts, and the original Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd, and La Cage aux Folles-- the musical adaptation of The Birdcage, the American adaptation which came out in the 90s starring Robin Williams and Nathan Lane.) The other I noticed in this video was "Surrey With The Fringe On Top" from Rodger and Hammerstein's "Oaklahoma!"-- one of those musicals where, even if you've never seen it, you've definitely heard some of the songs (most notably the song sharing the musical's name, "Surrey With The Fringe On Top", and "Oh What A Beautiful Morning"). Rodgers and Hammerstein's are known for very beloved musicals from the turn of the century, such as Oaklahoma!, Carousel, The King and I, The Sound of Music, and Cinderella. If I knew how to edit videos, I would dedicate a video to overlapping Disneyland and Broadway stuff. And have only one view on it which would be from me. 🤣 Oh, and I also noticed one of the songs used for Carsland sounded an awful lot like George Thorogood and the Destroyers (the "Josephine" song), which is p cool.

Yes! There's a surprisingly small amount of Disneyland music that was composed exclusively for Disneyland. A huge amount of the background area music loops consist of broadway showtunes like you said, but also a lot of classical pieces, and a HUGE amount of music from the 1920s-1950s can be found all over the parks. Yet, no matter what, the songs somehow feels most at home in the parks, haha! But you should learn to edit!!! It's absolutely a worthwhile investment!

Love the video! Area music in Disneyland is the best. Some of my favorite area music that wasn’t on the list was the Grand Californian Hotel Lobby and the Disney Esplanade!

I never really give thought to the background music throughout the parks as I haven't been there in so long and when you're 9 and 15 like I was when I was there you're not really at an age where you kinda sit back and appreciate that you're more just next ride, next ride, next ride lets go go go. When I get back there (hopefully 2022) I'm really gonna take the time to soak it all in I'm especially looking forward to experiencing Cars Land and Grizzly Peak based on this video and being exposed to the music of those areas. I really love Tomorrowlands music loop! Even though im not a huge fan of the "future" theme, something about just walking right in the middle of tomorrowland at night with all the pretty lights and hearing that music its just *chefs kiss*. I also enjoy Pixar Piers loop because i like Pixar music lol

My favorite has to be the music playing while you wait in line at the Alice in wonderland ride. Not the tea cup ride music, it’s a separate soundtrack. But it is hands down one of the most beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever heard. You can find it if you look up Disneyland Alice in wonderland area music.

The music there is PURE DISNEY! That right there is where it all started! Area music will often carry into bathrooms, but there IS one loop in The Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland that only plays in and directly outside of the Tangled themed bathroom...I think it'd be awesome if all Disney bathrooms had their own specialized music lol.
