You can use the fel pro gaskets for the vvt solenoid. The smaller one is correct you just have to put RTV around the gasket and then put grease or oil around the inside so it slides around the solenoid easily

It can be done without taking out the alternator or removing the bolts....I know because I just finished replacing mine. But it will take a lot of patience and time...and a little luck. The hardest part of the job is getting the connector off of the sensor because it has a clip that must be slid to the side before you can depress the tab and pull it off. I admit it took me over an hour using a small screw driver and some mirrors to undo the clip, but getting at the alternator bolts is a PITA too so I guess six of one and I choose working on getting the clip moved. Once you do that and baring you have the right size socket with the correct depth barrel, it's easy peasy after that.

Thanks Brother, super helpful and detailed video. 2014 Chrysler 300S... Tried dislodging the "Devil Clip" without removing the alternator, no bueno/ waste of time. Ended up loosing all three bolts from the alternator, left one of the bottom bolts still attached and just tilting the alternator gave plenty of room. The alternator bolt where David used the combo 4X4&Jack to loosen it. You can actually put your wrench on the bolt and then pull from above with plenty of room and leverage (took me awhile to figure that out).

Thank you so much!!!!!... people.. do NOT fast fwd the video lol. I forgot to tighten the SINGLE 10mm bolt into the previous plastic piece... I was able to grab it from the back side but it took some work and eventually got fully tightened. This video is perfect. The only thing I can say is he is a little to careful on drilling out the old plastic pieces to separate. I did it in to seconds wtih a larger bit.. opening up that hole means nothing so just drill them right out in seconds... other than that this video is PERFECT!.... ONE last thing.. I got my two liners as a KIT... do NOT buy from dealer.. they charge almost 400$ for shipping... blew my mind! I got it all send 178$ shipped with extra screws and clips for both sides... this video is 5 years old... prices have changed!.. THank you David!!!!

is it normal for both hoses with the green tab to have alot of oil in them?
@DavidJWarEagle
@DavidJWarEagle 10 ай бұрын
Yes, this is normal because the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system is pulling oil vapors out of the crankcase and into the intake. The inside of the intake manifold will be oily also for this reason.

Do these bulbs fit into the same socket as the factory bulbs (2357's) or does it need a different housing? Asking b/c I just watched another video before I found this one and the guy said something about a new housing?
@DavidJWarEagle
@DavidJWarEagle 11 ай бұрын
The base of the 2357 bulb is the same as the 1157 bulb. There was an OEM LED tail lamp housing as far as I know, and that is probably what you saw in the other video. This video is a retrofit to replace the incandescent 2357 bulbs with LED 1157 bulbs and the bulb bases are the same.

@@DavidJWarEagle Life saver. My daughter's Sonata bulbs keep going out and this is even after we got the whole back light panel replaced (mechanic thought that was the issue). @DavidJWarEagle
@DavidJWarEagle 11 ай бұрын
@JSKZG I’m not sure on that but you can probably do an internet search by year/make/model to find out what the other bulb types are. I think the other bulbs are different but I don’t know for sure.

I have a 2008 Magnum R/T RWD and wondering if all new brake components behave such that one needs to push the brake down fairly far before braking occurs. I had hoped that I'd have a lighter touch required once all components were replaced. It is smoother for sure and not shimmy up front when stopping now. But the peddle feel is not like my wife's Nissan Altima for example where if I push slightly too much the whole car jolts to a stop. I just don't know what magnum brakes should feel like when there's new calipers, rotors and pads installed. I'm curious if the abs, or booster or master cylinder might need replacing.
@DavidJWarEagle
@DavidJWarEagle Жыл бұрын
I can’t say for sure but I think my Magnum is the same way. Although, I need to clean and regrease the caliper pins as the pedal is a bit stiff currently.

I ended up bleeding the brakes myself including getting a scanner to bleed the ABS system. It's stronger now and easier to brake. It still won't jolt to a stop like my wife's car, but It's much better. Thanks for your input. The scanner I got is a Foxwell NT710 if interested.
