Catharsis on Full everytime unless ur about to burst than just save for ur burst. death can help bring shields down but otherwise its only use to break cc like rep, hex, fear, and poly etc since it does 0 damage. u should be purging alot and yes mindblast isnt bad if u can cast or mindflay for filler to keep dark evang up. ur cds come up quick so u shouldn't have much downtime

@@austindavis1244 yea but sp healing is extremely low offhealing wise and u have healers. This kind of build i wouldn't recommend for so.

@ agreed it’s not the best if playing competitively. But it’s just what I enjoy. In a bg I still put out respectable damage and healing numbers on the charts. Love your videos and info.

Mainly focus on keeping people shielded with the extra damage reflect and healing from the shield talents.

@@austindavis1244 If it is what u enjoy then that's what matters but just to give u a bit of info. pw shield is 400k and the reflect only does damage while it holds. which is generally a single attack from a player so very little if any value and the heal is less than 1% hp i rec putting the point somewhere else

yeah its an unbearable experience and nobody ever helps u and then u get flamed at 2,1k+ even tho u literally cant play the game without help. its just a disgusting experience.. srsly.

Yea pre goes allow u to live longer and use less so u can get damage out. and learning kick patterns

@@GR1MMDJ instant mindblast and instantly are already shown thru blizzard ui. To track things like DP and shadow crash or when death is up I use an addon called tellmewhen and set it up to show those cool downs or procs

@@9Boira6 in pvp it only gives 1% damage when using dp but you lose to much BIS stats that you actually do less damage because of the lost verst and haste. And will take more damage. 1% for only dp is terrible design for pvp unforch

@@eddphobia I mean if you watched the awc yesterday. A team ran double SP and it really showed how many problems it had. It has high pad damage no interrupt or reliable spammable cc and no killing power. And as tanky as it is in low dampening. In high dampening games it becomes impossible to heal. I'm going to stick to affliction.

@@rabee53 YOU can never ever ever never use AWC pro competition vs ladder EVER and the fact that they could run DBL SP to dampening shows how strong SP is, You should never be able to run 2 of the same class and make it that Long unless the class is good like double lock back in the day. Its the opposite. Perfect example is most rogues in AWC run outlaw which on ladder is not good but it can counterpick certain comps. You can Never use Awc ass an example. Only time thats a case is if most teams have the same class. And most teams have a Shadow priest or feral

@@eddphobia My point more was the hysteria around shadow priest people think it is so good that a team actually decided to run double of it in a tournament when money is on the line, it was a bad idea of course. Outlaw was just great in general last expanion the reason people used it though was the cd reduction to vanish the fact that vanish healed you 24% of your health every time was crazy. But without the increased melee range from acrobatic strikes vanish only healing 8% of your health cd reduction being nerfed and not having the insane tier set they had in season 3 and 4 of DF that let you keep up almost all of your roll the bones buffs. And now even the removal of shadowstep Outlaw is sadly lacking this time around.

In its current state SP is Very Very meta. and Not talking about last Expac outlaw either most awc games THIS Awc with a rogue have had an outlaw rogue as well for the control and increased healing. We are also not talking about the future patch my friend WE are talking about right now that's what's happening..And I am an SP main and IM saying SP is meta its not like im complaining about SP as a diff spec. I know my own spec is atm top 3 caster

@@RobertoVillaLobby the issue is ur generally on top of the enemy team as a sp so I rarely need phantom reach and 2% damage reduce is to good

@@WickdGamr that's not the issue either. Going me doesn't stop my damage and gives me catharsis not to mention his dh wasn't going me. So him going me and splitting damage is the wrong move. Part of being a good player is seeing who ur teammate is going and go that target. Splitting is never the answer and going me in that match up allows me to cleave both melee and I don't die as fast as a demo lock. So the hunter was definitely on the wrong unfortunately but that's just a learning experience he has to learn.

more pressure means less time for them to dispel. Dont get me wrong alot of games they do get dispelled but when your putting out so much pressure they cant take the fear from dispelling or their teammate dies. it also helps to save ur unfurling's and shadow crash for after they dispel to put them right back up

@@sebroni some comps I'll never get to use it and vs some comps u won't have a free global since ur generally the kill target. It's a situational thing why some won't take it.

situational tbh but i try to use all my cc on healer. it just depends on whos on my team

mage has its place like SP. but SP is rarely good for 2s unforch but good for 3s and SS. i dont see us getting nerfed hard anytime soon so id try it

This is just ur lack of understanding what the buffs actually did. Your lacking of understanding modifiers. and ur lack of understanding other classes getting nerfed. Nerfs don't happen because every1 is playing a class either, nerfs happen when the average potential of a class is higher than others. Another sight and understanding I hope you learn my friend

BUT you were the one who made a comment with a lack of understanding on the shift of balance and how the buffs to an already strong spec made a major difference. Based on ur comment alone it depicts a lack of understanding which is generally made by players who don't understand the deeper mechanics of arena

@@eddphobia or it voiced my opinion that shadow was already good, and 10% damage to multiple abilities that don’t hit hard is nothing groundbreaking. And that because of people seeing hype videos about shadow and seeing their buffs, they’re going to FOTM roll shadow now. And now with all the attention, blizzard will end up nerfing something about shadow that didn’t need a nerf, or reducing damage to less than it was before. Because that’s how blizzard works sometimes. But nah, my opinion MUST indicate I know nothing about the game because you said so. It’s got nothing to do with not wanting my favorite class nerfed to worse than it was.
