Kind of unrelated to the video but you seemed like you may be interested. I'm making a diy electronic air manifold controller. It's fully open source so you can customize it however you want. Obviously free, it's open source. It's called OASMan. I can't send links here but google 'arduino open air suspension' and click the github link that says OAS-Man.

I store my quickjacks between the studs in the walls of my shed. 16" on center they fit perfect and don't take any floor space. Just stand them up and i have a rubber strap hooked to eyelits for safety and security. And I have a large rubber coverd hook to hang my hoses in the center of my quickjacks. One and different note I bought 8 1" casters and 3m them on the bars that elevate so they roll easy when I adjust the quickjacks under my truck or car. Protects them from rough ground in my tar driveway. No garage so all my vehicle work in the driveway.

Did you ever have any issues or concerns running those 5x120 wheels vs 5x4.75? I want to go this route on my daily
@DadModsMedia
@DadModsMedia Ай бұрын
Hey Wesley, I can't give a recommendation based on daily usage. I have ran them for a few years without any issues BUT running a 5x120 on a 5x4.75 isn't without risk given they are roughly a half a millimeter off on the pattern.

That’s funny you didn’t know the fronts are plastic. I was thinking that from the beginning “what’s he gona do on the front.” ‘93 (first year) is the only year 4th Gen. with steel front fenders.

I’ve been wanting to do this for my 1956 Ford Victoria, it has nice chrome on the roof and drip rail area so i can’t use a roof mounted rack like i have on my 54 Customline. This is a fantastic alternative. Thank you for making the video! 🤘🏼😎🍻

I don't understand why people hate racing so much, those guys and girls aren't doing anything wrong. They are just out there trying to have a good time and enjoy themselves. The public fears what they don't understand, they need to learn to accept the car culture. During the past two years, Drag Strips and Speedways have been getting close down across the country. We should be out there fighting to keep racetracks alive and stop them getting destroyed. They could build some new racetracks, that have four lanes and an oval track with racing. That could also take care of the Street Racing and Street Takeover problems that people are always complaining about. I've seen some videos about people buying racetracks that are abandoned, and they work on restoring and bringing them back to life. We can't allow our country to lose interest in Stock Car Racing, something that has been around since the 1940's and can't let these corporate companies replace Drag Strips and Speedways with expensive housing, just so they can put more money in their pockets. If we could somehow get the younger generation interested in NASCAR, maybe there's still a chance of keeping the car culture alive for the future.

If you were doing a big job like a transmission swap that required you pull the trans and have it rebuilt, can you leave the car up on the jacks and disconnect the hoses and pump so they are not on the floor for the duration?

Thank you for the great video with safety tips. I have a 7000TL. I've used it on my X1 easily with the easy to find attached lift blocks under the car. My question is that you said you have a 1999 Camaro, I have a 1995 Z28 convertible, and I'd like to know where it is that you lifted your '99 with the QJ? This way, I'll know im doing it properly when I lift my '95. Thank you.

Great video! Thank you very much. Does anyone knows the part number of those crazy looking o- rings inside the AVCS pulleys?
@DadModsMedia
@DadModsMedia 4 ай бұрын
I was only ever able to find replacements on ebay from an oversee supplier. But this was many years ago so I can't speak to whether they can still be found. Another factor that is very important is alignment of the two halves of the AVCS pulleys when you put them back together. Misalignment can cause some very dramatic issues I'm told. You may want to considering speaking with Outfront Motorsports if you are worried about your ability to align these correctly. They have machined an alignment pin to guarantee this and, last I checked, offered it as a service.

Awesome find! My grandpa is 88 years old I heard stories about his 1950 Ford a lot he said it was a very good reliable car back in the day, and had power for its time. Unfortunately he didn't keep any of the cars he had over time, I love seeing all kinds of classic cars, congrats on the purchase. Classic cars are a lot of fun, sometimes they can run into time and money but worth it for sure.

I've been considering purchasing a set of Quick Jack's for some time. The fact that you are unable to access the underside of the vehicle from the driver or passenger side seems like a major disadvantage. I envision having the vehicle lifted in a standard size garage with the garage door closed (if working on the vehicle in the winter) and not being able to access the underside of the vehicle unless you leave your garage door open. The lift literally blocks access to the underside of the vehicle from front wheel well to rear wheel well. Is this a concern with this type of lift?
