Post cow not post oil. I would like to see anyone take away India's 600 million cow's, or Africa's 382 million cattle, and 1 billion goat's, and sheep before even looking at the rest of Asia. A Vegan religious fantasy is just that, and taking away the USA's 9 million dairy cows will make not a jot of difference to the worlds livestock emission's.

Food that’s manufactured is not food, it’s just profit for individuals with money already. And why make fake meat when real meat is so much tastier, so much more satisfying, so much healthier. The reason ranchers are going bankrupt is because of corporate greed, shitty lending practices. And btw, cattle on pasture don’t contribute greenhouse gases as has been put forth by the fossil fuel industry. Think about how much greenhouse gases are being produced by farting rich white men.

We have been smart enough to make our own food for thousands of years. Nothing you eat today is ‘natural’ as it originally appeared in nature. The resourcefulness of humans has shaped the natural bounty of our physical world into forms that would be un recognizable to pre-historic man. The notion that things like precision fermentation are any less natural than a modern ear of corn is a romantic fantasy that isn’t based in fact.

Short story is that I took on some work that limited my time, and I accepted that my production style is fiddly and time consuming, and not well suited to the 'just hit record and start talking' style of more successful KZbin content. If I couldn't regularly create a video or 2 per week, there was no way I was going to monetize this channel. I'm still mulling this over. PF breast milk is a thing. Just not for general dairy-replacement (that I know of). I think what you're talking about makes logical sense, but would probably be difficult to market. Why not re-create the components, rather than specifically replicate human or bovine milk and avoid the whole discussion? Hmmm.

Why would Gates need 450000 acres of farmland for "lab grown meat"? because you don't need that product until they strip the cows off the land. If you believe these people are for your health vitality and life you are deluded. The 4 years since the video was put out should tell you all you need to know.
@j7ndominica0514 ай бұрын
Fake meat has been known for some time now and still hasn't gotten anywhere. It seems similar to nuclear fusion, always in the near future. I believe they could make some homogenious product like "meat glue" maybe milk or a block of cheese. But the number of technologists and machines needed to produce a structure like in meat will make the product unaffordable. The graph showing the price is too optimistic. Constants like packaging, labor and transportation will never allow the price to fall so much, to the point that there is no profit for big corporations.

@@theflexitariantimes8140 I'm calling BS on your data,too. Look into how healthy carnivores are after over coming diagnosed disorders such as diabetes,cancers,heart diseases by going carnivore. Some even recovered from strokes,MS and other neurological disorders and schizophrenia.This is all by consuming meat/fat excluding carbs,seed oils and processed food for only a short amount of time. Dr. Georgia Ede wrote a book titled "Change your diet Change your mind". Heres another author who has written a number of books exposing how those lies by Ancel Keys and other paid "researchers" to distort and lie about what is a proper human diet.These lies about food and cholesterol has wrecked our whole world population. Nina Teicholz "The big fat surprise" exposed how bad those veg/seed oils are for our health over a decade ago, Nothing but lies and fabrication by major manufacturing corporations to sell poison and they back it up with paid off government lawmakers to mandate the poisons such as the food pyramid or "my plate" of poisons. Want to see how stupid the latest guidelines are? Cheerio's are rated more healthy than beef hamburger. Cheerios made from oats and corn that were all sprayed with glyphates and full of added sugar is more healthy that beef,chicken,pork. Now Proctor&Gamble are pushing cereal for dinner.

Many misconstrue the purpose of this video. I am not coming from a 'vegan' perspective. If you currently have access to 'sustainably raised' grass-fed meat and choose to feed yourself that way, more power to you. Making decisions FOR you is not my call. It's just a matter of acknowledging that providing sustainably produced meat to everyone in the world who wants it simply doesn't pencil out. If you don't CARE what anyone else has or doesn't have, I've got no answer for you. You can still burn lumps of coal in your stove to heat your house. It would just be unsustainable if everyone else did as well. We are in the Victorian England phase of industrial meat production, and the choking on dense smog phase is upon us. We need a better plan going forward, and PF looks like a promising part of the answer.

@theflexitariantimes81404 ай бұрын
Well, since this video isn't about highly processed plant products, but rather potential production of proteins from precision fermentation, your alarmist claims don't apply. That said, it would be helpful if you were to cite studies showing what you claim. It is dubious at best since you refer to cancer, auto-immune diseases, and Alzheimers as 'metabolical' diseases.

Well, this video isn't about plant-based as much as it is about precision fermentation. Very different topics.
