For the average person Canada has a higher wage ,this guy's just going on when the dollars is low,but we pay our rent and everything in Canadian dollar, so you got to look at that. if you're rich, America is the best because it's has a huge population and everything to do there, and taxes are lower. and obviously, you have the best doctors. Because you have money. But middle class, and for poor people you're definitely better in Canada. And America does not consider the unemployment for people who don't want to work we do. so they actually have a higher unemployment rate. Anybody can look it up, and I'm sure this guy knows that America doesn't put people on welfare for unemployment, so they have a higher unemployment rate.

I'm an American who has been living in Canada since December of 2009 and, for me, it is no contest. I am much happier here in Canada then in The US ....the healthcare has been wonderful, lacking all of the horror stories I hear US Politicians cry about I feel much safer and the people are so welcoming. Is Canada perfect? No...far from it but, I cannot think of a better place to live.

I think UK is more "encouraging" to find a new job 😅 The maximum length of time you can receive unemployment benefit is 23 months in France...6 in England. 6 months of work in the last 22 months in France to receive unemployment benefit... 2 years of work on the English side.

That income tax bit was nonsense. I’ve lived in both countries and was taxed significantly higher in Canada. Maybe 3-4x the amount came out of my paycheck every two weeks.

You can earn and save more in the US as salaries are way way higher and more opportunities for high paying jobs, and lower taxes in general. But crimes are lower in Canada.
