The figures are not real without cost of money, property tax, utility rates and regulations. Then individual circumstances such as roof facing directions and angles, surrounding shading. What happens when the neighbors trees grow in the future? The issue of an infinite warranty of course depends on the financial backing of Tesla. Considering massive losses and a shareholder class suit about how Solar City was brought into Tesla, I would not put any faith into the future on a warranty. Also the power wall has a much more limited warranty. Finally , a few of the roofs have been recently installed by Tesla fans, and costs are far higher than estimates given here.

In general i agree with your points. There is no value in a warranty if the company can not serve it and individual situation always trumps the average experience. If cost is the most important driver for someone Tesla is probably not the best option. The key thing about Tesla tiles is that you can get solar power with affecting the appearance of your house which is still a huge concern for a large proportion of people who havent yet adopted solar yet. Could be true. I believe it is more about the look than the efficiency. If efficiency is the goal then standard panels will be a better option. Unfortunately we live in a world that places a large value on looks so this product "solves" that problem

From a pure speaking perspective I agree (he mumbles and stutters all the time) however from a communication perspective I think he is beyond great. He is a awesome communicator. Even through he is super smart he presents complex topics in an approachable and authentic way. He never talks down to an audience and he shares genuine excitement..... or perhaps I am just bias as speaking was a massive issue for me as a child
