Awesome tutorial AND Music, sir! I had this epiphany a few days back - where laying drums/beat down first IS the best way to get quality songs... [for me] Or at least for it to have the energy right - to build somethin proper upon. Now - i have just to figure that part out. lol [ i got my drivers - switched from WASAPI to AISO, after recording straight mic'd guitars bass & vox for a year or so on one channel at a time, w/previous driver setting - Now i can access multiple channels and guitar in{tuner function was somethin I just had to have working}. So that parts great. But, now I have a quieter mic signal. Maybe there is a better driver than AISO4all, i hear...] It will now be the task for today to get functionally familiar with MIDI editor, regions, quantizing and all that... Using all free apps - i believe this is possible. But many-a-tutorial to go... One less - thanks to you! Thank you for helping on that way, oh kindred spirit!

can I still be able to save and use my projects after 60 days trail? what are the limitations? will I get sued if I publish my work, using it after the trail ? Shall i use it for a commercial purpose without paying!?
@Issachernandez14 ай бұрын
There are no limitations on the trial, it's the full version. You keep all your projects. After the trial is over, a screen pops up for five seconds asking if you want to keep trying. I don't think I'm alone in saying that it's common to use reaper way past the trail date. I ended up paying the $60 because I was using it so much, it's only fair. The developers and community put in so much into this amazing software that I felt bad not coughing up the money.

How do I just increase the bass to have a heavy knock in the speakers but the sound is clear and not distorted?
@Issachernandez15 ай бұрын
This isn't a one size fits all so bear with me. Generally speaking, you can apply eq to every other instrument and apply a high pass cut to eliminate any low end rumble from other instruments. This should clear space for the bass. On the bass you want to boost anywhere from 60hz to 150. You have to listen and see where it's sitting. However, mixing bass is notoriously tricky. There are a lot of variables that affect how you hear the bass. Your room and speakers being the main ones. I would suggest listening in many different systems as possible. Unless speakers are very high quality they're not giving you an accurate bass. I mostly mix in headphones. But I know that I need to boost bass less than what I think I should. Then I double check on speakers, car, etc... This was very long winded, but hopefully it helps.
@9iteZero9545 ай бұрын
@@Issachernandez1 Appreciate the advice and details you provided. I’ve been goin back and forth trying to hear the tune in different outlets like you suggested. Headphones, studio speakers and my cell. Do you normally keep the wet knob on the right at 100%? I think that’s my biggest problem tryin to smooth out the depth of the bass with the frequencies 1,2,3 and 4. Plus I’m using ReaVerb as well (Bad Crunch)

Great video! As a native New Englander (born & raised in Massachusetts, USA), I'm probably one of the few 'yankees' who count Cafe Tacuba as my 'favorite band ever'. I discovered them sort of by accident in the early 2000's, when I rented the movie Amores Perros for a spanish class. One of the bonus features on that DVD was a Cafe Tacuba music video called 'Aviéntame´. I was instantly and completely hooked, and had to find out more about them. Within a year, I had all their releases to date, and listened to them so much that I was memorizing the lyrics - en español! - I think I shocked a couple of people when they heard me sing La Ingrata in it´s entirety😅 I love that you mentioned watching the MTV Unplugged concert with your mom. I still get goosebumps when I watch the version of Las Flores with Alejandro Flores that segues into La Huasanga. Saludos desde Boston!
@Issachernandez16 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for sharing! That movie is an absolute classic, and "avientame" is a beautiful tune. I can only imagine people's reaction to you knowing their lyrics. Lol I believe they're going on tour with Caifanes, are you planning on catching them?
@reif.76196 ай бұрын
@@Issachernandez1 They'll be in NY on Jun 26, but I live about 4.5 hours away from Central Park, and the show is on a weeknight 😞 I take comfort knowing that I saw them twice in Boston (once in 2007, and later in 2017) . I only wish they would pass through this way more often... So, if you happen to see them on the current tour, I'll look forward to a concert review on your channel!

nice thing about reaper is that it runs like a champ on an ancient windows laptop with a dead hard drive, with a USB live installation of MX linux or any antiX distro, (I imagine it works good on newer laptops with ubuntu with good harddrives)> I love ableton, tho, so I got an ancient windows computer, but am thinking about getting a newer computer and repurposing this one for a linux distro with reaper as central. reaper is just so much faster than ableton, but i love the single window ableton flow and session view, but reaper is equally compelling to me, especially since it only takes a few seconds to load, versus a minute or two for ableton to load, also more customizable and stable. maybe there's a script or plugin that does the session view thing as well as ableton?
@Issachernandez16 ай бұрын
That's also one of my favorite things about reaper, it's light and it has never crashed on me. It's really all plugins and vsts that use cpu. There is a script called playtime by helgoboss.org It's a session view for reaper. I personally haven't used it but it looks pretty good. The developer also has a few videos up.

Café Tacuba transports you all over Mexico and gives you rock and roll at the same time. I love them. You just reminded me or Rarotonga. Kudos on the guitar play. That guitar play can make anyone fall in love. And the melódica? You hit the nail on the head. That is my favorite. Glad to see someone understands and appreciates Cafe Tacuba as much as I do. Omg no controles. Now I need to go back to listen to these old hits. I’ve started playing them for my toddler during car rides cause I got tired of her kid music and she loves it.

For some reason I find the Reaper Ui very overwhelming, is there a way to have the midi keyboard constantly in front of you. Placed centre? Rather than opening like a window every time ?
@Issachernandez17 ай бұрын
I felt like that also. I just took it one step at the time. At first all I wanted was to record guitar ideas, so I focused only on that. Then drum beats, arranging, customizing etc... You don't have to use everything reaper offers, I don't. As far as the keyboard, there's a button on the top right where you can pin it. 📌 This will keep it on top of any other window you open. You can place it wherever you like.

This is my favorite band ever! For me, Cafe Tacvba is the best band in Mexico. Some people say it's not rock is not pop, that's what make them unique 👌🏼 Ruben's voice is different, not the best, but has his own style and the best frontman in Mexico Meme uff I feel he's the most talented of them, writer, singer, plays different instruments and beat notes 👌🏼👌🏼 I also like his funny dances 😅 Joselo, the smarter 🧐 intellectual, the one that make them look like grown man😅 because he's always in style And Quique, I think he's the dreamer, not loved by all, but he's the one that brings out your insides, the one that can make you cry with his songs, the one that is firm in the earth 🌎 I highly recommend listening to Cafe Tacvba and listening to the songs. They spoke about love (puntos cardinales), reality,(chilanga banda) sexuality (el baile y el salon), and situations (alarmala de tos) You got a love this 4! Thank you for this video

Cool tune, :) I use Reaper on Linux. It's not impossible, just difficult to find the plugins to do some of the stuff you make look so easy. There are wrappers / bridges to use some of the Windows/Mac VSTs, but it's an added layer of CPU stress that is more like a band-aid than anything. I don't know how many of us use Linux for our primary OS, but now with LV2 and CLIP plugins, it seems to be easier to make decent noise than "in the olden days." I'm very intrigued by your composition technique and am going to check that out right now. All the best! Almost 1000 subs! That's awesome buddy.
