Safety standards are Nazis for banning lawn darts. They still make youth bow and arrows which can hurt more than a lawn dart. Bicycles on public roads are a toy way more dangerous than lawn darts by a long shot

My grandparents had these back in the 70s when i was a kid. I was playing with them when i was like 3 or so both me and my brother. Neither of us got hurt.

The fact that these were sold with no issues for 20 years combined with the reactions from the other comments shows how far we've fallen as a society. We can't even comprehend the thought of having children competent enough to play with these without killing each other.

I’ve always heard it’s a big no-no to coil your torch lead and your ground cable. Also heard you don’t want them to cross one another. I believe it’s due to the electromagnetic field created by such a coil and its potential for damaging cnc controls

I think this is another urban legend. Friend of a friend’s little brother got killed by one these. And my ex wife’s aunt got struck by lightning while taking a bath. Everyone knows someone one but never firsthand

Those things HURT (obviously) if you took one to the thigh - or any part of the body. I was an “80’s” kid - and played with these weapons. Anyone that grew up in the 70’s to the early 90’s has a story or two how something went wrong when they played jarts.

Back in the '70's things were different and kids were tougher. I had a friend lost an arm using a cheap coloring book and another who's pedal car blew up when it rolled into a drainage ditch. Only his head survived but he still came out to play after his sister duct taped it to a skateboard.

I remember these at summer parties as a kid no one ever got hurt .

We had that exact set, but the small child on the upper left had a sticker over her to block her out, but you could peel it off and see. We love playing this in our yard, and it attracted a neighbor kid, and somehow a jar flung way up in the air and hit his head. I remember the father coming over. But maybe the neighborhood learned stay away from that crazy house and those wild kids

We played strip jarts once 🔂 🔂 it was fun to see half naked people running 💨🎽 around the back yard was fun to see girls&guyes with & without tops on or use 🌊 water 💦 balloon 🎈💭 on top of the jarts same persons some even w/out pants or skirts in the summer ⛱️🌞 around the yards

My mom bought us regular darts to play w/alot to hit a plywood targets at 89/90 ct to keep us busy for hr. All day long
