@@jonase6339 because for this to work the car has to be perfectly placed right off the side of the truck and ideally all wheels have to be in tact. This is only really practical for impounds, repos, illegal parking etc for most crashes it would simply not be effective.

Nope, this is one of the best ways to keep the transmission in tact. You are essentially lifting from the wheels (in effect raising the ground). That being said, if you had flared wheel arches like a lot of Jeeps do this probably won't work.
