I agree man! He's making me want to buy a 3D printer :-) I just bought the langemeier pro and I haven't even gotten it already and I'm thinking about buying a 3D printer to print all this stuff.

Great upgrade modifications, thanks for sharing. I just purchased mine and went thru forums and videos to build it from lessons learned.

So now the neighbors get to breathe all the smoke lol. I used to work in heavy equipment repair out shop had a 10x20 cutting table and it was vented outside and when they were cutting certain steels there was a huge yellow cloud of smoke coming out.

I’ve always heard it’s a big no-no to coil your torch lead and your ground cable. Also heard you don’t want them to cross one another. I believe it’s due to the electromagnetic field created by such a coil and its potential for damaging cnc controls

I would like to know where you got your laser, VERY impressive, and I also like your jog switch. Thanks for sharing this video.

Is the machine torch worth the investment , mine is $400 for razor 45
@thewholefamdamily3 жыл бұрын
For me it was. I ran the hand torch for a while and was always fighting it. The cable was always in the way and with weight hanging on the side it was hard to keep the torch square. The machine torch fixed that and made it easier to change the consumables. I also didn't have to modify the wires.

I'm curious on your Jog/Laser specs. I have a Pro coming and trying to get some mods in order........ I have a 3d printer also....
@thewholefamdamily3 жыл бұрын
The laser are off of Amazon and or Ebay. They are 5v version. This is Version one of the mount. The torch mount has changed a lot and is a lot better design. I have also upgraded the control panel with more buttons. If I were to start from scratch the mods in order would be: Laser torch mount, Z axis guard and rail scrapers. I plan on doing a update to the table soon and will try and document the process.

Wow I love the thought process. I would love to know what kind of 3D printer you have? also what you would recommend for somebody who doesn't know anything about 3D printing.
@thewholefamdamily3 жыл бұрын
I have a CR10 and a CR10S pro. I would recommend both of them. The CR10 was my first printer and I have ran it for many hours and never had a problem. Only issue was the fan in the power supply was loud so I replaced it.

You don't by any chance have a form or website that I could pick your brain or an email I haven't even set mine up yet. It's still in boxes downstairs because I are injured my foot and it got infected back in February. I'm fixing to set this up for the first time I'd like to not have to redo it. And I love your setup by the way. There's a lot of thought that went into that. I am thinking also of using the stuff they separate freezers with I've got like a hundred and fifty or 200 foot roll of that stuff. It's that really sick plastic it'll withstand welding splatter. And you'd be able to reach in there and grab something or whatever you had two without opening the whole curtain. But yet I was going to have it on strips angle iron so it's hinged open like a door. I like the fresh air Inlet and Outlet because I air condition my shop. I'm going to do that also

I just put my crossfire pro table together and have a problem with y axis. Keeps slipping. It seem one side is fighting the other sometime. How do you make sure everything is Square set the liner bearings?

The motor couplers are known to slip on these. Check and make sure one isn't slipping.

@@jonbozzy9600 those couplers are hard to get tight because the screw is so small, To make sure mine was tight I squeezed the end of the coupler with some vice grips as I tightened the screw so all it had to do was hold the pressure instead of creating it

@@davidtomasetti8520 thanks I will try it. I’m also having a problem with the rapid speed from cut hole to new cut hole. It’s to fast sometimes and I loose the y cause it slips.
