Listerine has advertised to gargle with the stuff. I don't because it makes me cough. I used to work in an outpatient clinic. A nurse was once telling me about a patient with a chronic cough that they couldn't figure out what was causing it. I asked the patient a short time later was he gargling with anything. He said Listerine. I asked if a doctor said to do that. He said no. I told him to stop gargling with that crap. His cough ended. I cured him without a doctor's license.
