How to prevent and treat gum abscess

A gum abscess can be painful and annoying. It is important to note that only a dentist should treat and diagnose a gum abscess. While it is likely that your abscess will need antibiotics, there are things you can do at home to help with discomfort. And even more important, there are things you can do to help prevent abscess gum abscess altogether. If you are having pain, swelling, or discharge, it is time to call your dentist!
