Wat een genot om er naar te kijken. Schitterend met super aangepaste mooie muziek. In 1 woord "geweldig" ik heb ervan genoten en zal deze nog vaker een keer gaan zien. Heel veel plezier verder en bedankt dat je al deze mooie films maakt.

Oh, you were so close to the hooker valley lake. Jammer vind ik wel. I was there on the 22nd of November and did the Heli hike on the 26th, when it was canceled for the 23rd thanks to the rain. The salmon farm was a good pit stop. I ate lunch 2 day and each time the salmon was great. In fact I bought truffle smoke salmon and I brought it to the states. Ik zal komend weekend flink smullen samen met me neefje over a glas of Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc. Lake Takepo was beautiful as well. I spent one week entirely in the south island and that part of New Zealand is my favorite.i also did the paragliding and similarly to shot over jet I did Kjet. New Zealand is a spectacular place to visit and I would love to do it again.

I lived in NZ as a child over 30 years ago, and back then, the Frans Josef glacier extended down almost to the lookout point you were filming from. It, and many other NZ glaciers have been in retreat for decades.

It's hard to imagine when you are there how massive it used to be. There was indeed a sign telling the glacier reached that point one time.

The trees you referred to all over the place are Tree Ferns known by Maori and locals as 'Ponga'. Fantastic drone footage again and I love the rivers filled with Alpine water. Lovely colour

Thanks for the extra info about the trees, I looked it up but didn't came further as Ferns. In Dutch we say Varens, almost the same pronunciation.

@Michel_Noni_Sabbatical Yes, it has been so hilarious to watch many visitors to NZ getting so chuffed and excited that they have seen the kiwi. I for sure have not ever seen one in the wild. There is a huge effort to control predators to the Kiwis, so we therefore think it is so precious as it can easily be extinct if we are complacent.

Be very careful using a drone because if you breach the CAA 101 regulations you'll either be put on a watch list, confronted as you leave NZ, if charger with a criminal conviction you may not be able to return in future or visit other countries. A Civil Aviation criminal offence is extremely serious, and yes the CAA do troll youtube looking for breaches. Be safe 👍🤙

I'm aware and use the Airshare app, don't fly in reservations, above buildings and not above 120m. Not that difficult to understand. Ans it's better arranged in NZ then in other parts of the world. Hopefully the rest will do the same. Did you enjoy the drone shots?

Your first camp site is at Kaiaua and the name of the bay is the Firth of Thames. I stayed at the exact same spot 4 days ago.
