Hi Barry, great question. I’ve debated getting the cpl filter. I watched some videos of folks who have it and to be honest, I just can’t see much of a benefit to it. It looks like it does help on those really sunny days as it reduces the glare somewhat.

Yes! Sealing is a great step to protect your pavers. There’s a video from ‘Ewing Outdoor Supply’ that shows how to prep and apply the sealer. The most important step is to make sure your pavers are completely clean and free of any sand before applying the sealer.

Hi! Can you explain the “how often” feature. Can It be manually set for anytime or there is restriction like “every 3/6/12 …hours”. Same question with wifi setup. In other words, could you please explain about starting time (can this be anytime or there is preset restriction. Thanks

Hi there! Apologies for the delayed reply. The "how often" feature has preset limitations seen here: For hours, you can set it to one of these options: Every hour; Every 3 hours; Every 6 hours; Every 12 hours. For days, you can set it to either 'Every day' or 'Every X days', where X could be 2 all the way up to 32. In regards to 'Same question with wifi setup', at the 8:00 minute mark of the video, I go through the explanation of the WiFi hub that is required in order to connect to the water timer using WiFi. Please let me know if you have additional questions!

Is there any way to run this off of a 50 gallon water barrel to make sure the plants don’t get chlorine and ammonia, etc. along with factoring a pump for pressure if the water has to travel too far?
@adventuresandstuff
@adventuresandstuff Ай бұрын
Great question and great concept! All you need is a hose spigot attached to that 50 gallon water barrel. If you're using a pump to get pressure in the line, that's even better. There are some 'Hose Bib Extender's that you can pretty much put anywhere and you can attach this timer to that spigot as an option. Hope that helps!

I hooked up this device, but it reduced the water pressure down to say 30%, the sprinkler has way much force when connected direct to the faucet, any thoughts?
@adventuresandstuff
@adventuresandstuff Ай бұрын
Hi Raajeev. I had a similar issue last season. It ended up being the filter screen on the water timer connector (the part that attaches to the faucet). The cone part of the screen should be facing in toward the timer rather out toward the faucet. Check to see if you have a similar issue and let me know how it goes. It is normal for these timers to reduce some pressure, but down to 30% is way too much.
@allangston4975
@allangston4975 Ай бұрын
I found that out to be true on the time as well. I have mine filling a birdbath and watering small flower beds. It is frustrating. The valve in each zone must have a diameter less than the pipe feeding it. No reason that it couldn’t emulate the faucet volume. Missed the boat on these timers Orbit engineers.

Update on the recording timings - at 11:49, the column should show hours and not minutes. Shoutout to @pbluver and @dsviking for catching that!
@dsviking
@dsviking Ай бұрын
At 11:49, and later in the video, your math on filling up the memory card is wrong. For example, on the first line with 1920 resolution you correctly show 423 clips, however, these are 3 minute clips and 423 * 3 minutes = 1,269 minutes. 1,269 minutes is about 21 hours. So, as @pbluver also pointed out, the third column should be hours, not minutes. Otherwise, the video was very well made.
