Incredible footage! MC5 were such an incredibly influential band. We loved discussing the new MC5 book and many guitar topics and it’s inspiration with author Brad Tolinski on our show.

MC5, the loudest house band in the Grande Ballroom in the Sky. Long live the 5!
@DeliRevvКүн бұрын
It is still very hard for me to fathom that the MC5 are now all gone. But if there’s a Heaven, and I pray to God that there is, these guys are all jamming together in the Grande Ballroom in the sky with John Sinclair and Uncle Russ Gibb hanging out. There are many times where I and some of my friends will go stand outside the abandoned Grande on Grand River and Beverly Rd, play KOTS and imagine what the scene inside would have been like on Halloween night 1968. Still gives me chills to think of all the beautiful madness that must have gone on within those hallowed, haunted walls. Long Live the 5.

Possibly the most embarrassing and worst popular music ever recorded. I feel ashamed being a member of the society that produced this kind of garbage. Shockingly bad.

Got my preorder yesterday in the mail I like most of it 10 outta 13 . Rarely have LPs I like every song. Wish Kramer + Thompson could of seen it released . Seems like a good album imo.

The production on back in the USA was sterile and lifeless. If this song sounded like it did on stage this would have been a hit. Whoever the producer was should have been fired what were they thinking with that slick production?

This is a joke right something out of Saturday night live the crowd only a few people are clapping and cheering most of them are looking confused. You get enough people smoking marijuana and intoxicated will show up to anything pretending it's Woodstock on MC5 really does suck

They packed the theaters all throughout New York, Detroit, Boston, had a top 30 album and sold more records and had more of an impact than you ever will in your entire life.

The first true hard punk rock band! These guys were the least pretentious of all the bands coming out of the Northeast in the late 60s. They could really write and play too! Just a great F-ing band! MC5 All Night Long!!

It wasn´t that the Detroit youth were born revolutionaries. They unwillingly became radicalized by the absurd Vietnam war and the military draft implemented by the political elite and their extremely brutal crackdowns. The young generation retalliated by taking over the culture 100%. Listen to Detroit artists like Bob Seger System´s "2+2=?", Grand Funk Railroad´s "People, Let´s Stop the War" and Edwin Starr´s "War". People were fed up with the elite.

Quite simply the best rock and roll group. I used to go to the Village Pub in the early 2000's and lived in Birmingham, 14 mile/Woodward. Sadly it went from this glory to boring 2000s non glory pizza/brew fern joint zzzz. Right next door to former CREEM magazine HQ on old Woodward. I saw the FIVE LIVE in Peekskill NY June 14th 1969. FU world.

Punk was actually invented in 1936 by George Formby with his ukulele hit "Blackpool punk Rock". The MC-5 stole all his riffs and licks!.
