Awesome video, I am thinking of getting one to put in the back of my campervan, as it so light. My only worry is the small seat. How did your pillion find it? We are thinking of getting the ferry to north Spain and doing the Pyrenees'. Thanks!

We put it on the back of our Campervan it has transformed our hols! My Wife is quite small and we are both medium build which helps. It depends on how big you both are! It's cosy but ok. The seat is a bit hard but bearable.

Try using a white board pen on the marker pen line. It should then wipe off. I know it sounds weird but it does work. Good informative vid btw, I've got a Citroën relay high top camper and have been looking at fitting some solar on the roof.
@jasonwoods5010 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tip. Solar is awesome. We hardly ever use EHU saves money at campsites and you get better pitches.

Your doing a fantastic job on that van.i actually have the exact same van,and have been thinking about doing the same but removing the bulk head completely.
@jasonwoods5010 ай бұрын
Thank you. I removed the bulkhead on my other van and its great being able to send Wifey to the fridge to get a cold drink whilst driving down the motorway in France! It is also good for wild camping being able to get to the drivers seat without going outside in case of an emergency. It also creates space for swivel seats and opens it out a bit. Its my preferred option personally. It depends on what layout and how many berths you want. I'm aiming this at the market who want a tiny home and by cutting off the cab and climbing in the back you feel like you are in a small flat and not a van! It allows a bigger kitchen too which is important. It also helps with heating and cooling as the cab is both hot and cold as it is not insulated and is full of windows. Good luck with your build.

Ive had the rally for 6 months. I tend to use it to go to the gym and ride around B roads and country lanes in most weathers. No problems as of yet. A great bike if you are happy not trying to break the sound barrier although its no slouch. The arrow exhaust and heavier flywheel make it even more fun. Its one of those bikes that just works if you know what i mean.

Hi, just found your vid by accident, loved it , quick question which size fan max air did you go for? Thanks
@jasonwoods5010 ай бұрын
Thank you. Its 400x400 which is basically the cut out size which avoids the ribs and gives a flat surface. The 355 version is the same size fan, smaller cut-out. I think 355 is good for old ducatos where the rib spacing is different so best check your van first.

Congratulations, nice videos and nice bike. I just bought a new Caballero 500 rally. Please can you give me some advice on the most appropriate accessories? For example, are hand guards appropriate? What make/model did you install? I see that on a video you installed them and then afterwards you no longer have them, why? Thank you
@jasonwoods50 Жыл бұрын
Best accessory is an extra spacer for the right foot rest to allow standing up without hitting the side panel. The givi rack on the back is great for taking luggage and a grab rail. I put those handguards on because they suited the look of the retro look of the bike. I only put them on when i go for serious off road trips to protect my hands and the levers. They are ok, i cant remember where i got them from. I am going to get some Acrebis ones which are recommended by a lot of people on the Facebook page. They sell some red ones which look ok and they will take the wind off your hands too for longer trips which i am considering.

How’s the standing position when you’re off road going?

Not brilliant but ok if you add a spacer on the right footrest. Most owners have done this.

Fair play for riding on trails two up! 🏍🤘 Am thinking of the Caballero rally for UK green lanes / travel, it looks to have a nice power to weight ratio to me. Would you recommend it? Have you had any issues with it?
@jasonwoods50 Жыл бұрын
Yes I would however there are a few considerations. Some of the UK greenlanes are quite severe with big rocks and steps etc. You will notice that the front exhaust looks vulnerable. I havent had a problem with it but I am careful not to take it anywhere too extreme. Its a great looking bike but not really designed to be crashed so i have built my own rear exhaust guards for it. There have been issues with a lot of them, most are sorted now. Cush drive rubbers wear out, headrace bearings wear out as Fantic couldnt be arsed to even supply them with grease. Fuel lines leak where the clips cut into the rubber and the headlight main bean comes on when it gets soaking wet! On the positive side it handles amazing on the road, like really really good, its quite nippy too and its ok off road which makes it a really fun bike. Ive taken mine on several TET adventures and it can literally do anything.

@@jasonwoods50 Thanks, good tips, the types of lanes i might get to are something i'm already considering. My current bike, crf, is 150kg+ & have mostly ridden 'adventure bike' suitable lanes...i'm still exploring but local stuff should all be fine. I think if i was on rock hopping lanes the crf might suffer from lack of power, weight &lack of a skilled rider 🤣 Planning on looking into a fantic dealer soon, so will raise the points you mention 👍 Thanks for responding

Hi buddy, I saw that the exhaust guard is may be a litte bit revised? Normally it stands out too much and forced the left foot to an unideal position. It looks, like you bent the plastic cover a bit . Is it correct? did you heat the cover to be able to bent it? Many thanks for an answer. Cheers, Stephan
@jasonwoods50 Жыл бұрын
Hi. I haven't bent any plastics. The exhaust is on the right side and I bought a bit of 10mm aluminium and made another spacer for the foot peg. This does make a difference moving your foot out. I made a steel tube exhaust guard on the right side.
@stephankorneffel3269 Жыл бұрын
@@jasonwoods50 Thanks for your answer. You are totally right, I referred to a possible change on the right side, the exhaust side. So you didn't change the plastic, but attached a spacer for the foot peg. Good solution! I will think about, for my bike. Save ride and grate adventures.
