Fantic Caballero 500 Rally VWT1 Andorra with a passenger - September 2022

We joined the track at Castellnou de Carcolze in Spain and rode 16 miles off road to the famous VWT1 campervan in Andorra near the Pic Negre peak which is over 2600 metres in altitude. We then rode back taking the same route. Amazing experience, stunning scenery. We downloaded the route from Wikiloc. Loads of routes on there that take you up the mountain from various start points.

Ive had the rally for 6 months. I tend to use it to go to the gym and ride around B roads and country lanes in most weathers. No problems as of yet. A great bike if you are happy not trying to break the sound barrier although its no slouch. The arrow exhaust and heavier flywheel make it even more fun. Its one of those bikes that just works if you know what i mean.

Awesome video, I am thinking of getting one to put in the back of my campervan, as it so light. My only worry is the small seat. How did your pillion find it? We are thinking of getting the ferry to north Spain and doing the Pyrenees'. Thanks!

We put it on the back of our Campervan it has transformed our hols! My Wife is quite small and we are both medium build which helps. It depends on how big you both are! It's cosy but ok. The seat is a bit hard but bearable.

do you think the tricker can go up there with a lady passenger? want to do that with a tricker ...

Yes providing you are both lightweights. We did some off road in the Picos on our Tricker 2 up and it coped ok. There is a 400 metre long steep hill that your passenger may have to walk up though.

Starting/running no problems. I have had issues with the Cush drive now resolved under warranty. Loads of people had same issue. I had a leaking fuel line. A clip had pinched a line. Othes have reported the same. I also noticed the fuel lines rub on parts of the frame so rectified this. So worth checking before you buy. Other than that no problems it's a great bike. I think ive done 6000 miles since new.

Great stuff, I like what you did with your Rally 500. Did it come in red-white originally, or did you buy new plastics for the Scrambler 500 to put on? I really like the red-white colors more than the original green.

The green tank cover is horrible. I just asked the dealer to put a red tank cover on from a scrambler.

Mate that's impressive with the misses on the back. Fantastic little video, beautiful scenery,have you got a start point for that track upto the vw. Am I right in thinking bescaran?

Thanks! You can start at Bescaran but we started our off road at Castellnou de Carcolze and followed the "Carretera de Castellnou de Carcolze a Bescaran". We didnt go to Bescaran though. We followed a track i downloaded from Wikiloc called Castellnou de Carcolze - Pic Negre.
