Fair play for riding on trails two up! 🏍🤘 Am thinking of the Caballero rally for UK green lanes / travel, it looks to have a nice power to weight ratio to me. Would you recommend it? Have you had any issues with it?

Yes I would however there are a few considerations. Some of the UK greenlanes are quite severe with big rocks and steps etc. You will notice that the front exhaust looks vulnerable. I havent had a problem with it but I am careful not to take it anywhere too extreme. Its a great looking bike but not really designed to be crashed so i have built my own rear exhaust guards for it. There have been issues with a lot of them, most are sorted now. Cush drive rubbers wear out, headrace bearings wear out as Fantic couldnt be arsed to even supply them with grease. Fuel lines leak where the clips cut into the rubber and the headlight main bean comes on when it gets soaking wet! On the positive side it handles amazing on the road, like really really good, its quite nippy too and its ok off road which makes it a really fun bike. Ive taken mine on several TET adventures and it can literally do anything.

@@jasonwoods50 Thanks, good tips, the types of lanes i might get to are something i'm already considering. My current bike, crf, is 150kg+ & have mostly ridden 'adventure bike' suitable lanes...i'm still exploring but local stuff should all be fine. I think if i was on rock hopping lanes the crf might suffer from lack of power, weight &lack of a skilled rider 🤣 Planning on looking into a fantic dealer soon, so will raise the points you mention 👍 Thanks for responding

@matthewmoreman4145 no worries, check out my other videos, I've taken it on 3 TET trips with camping gear no passenger and it copes really well.

@@jasonwoods50 test rode a scrambler version today, nice punchy engine...the standing positipn would take some getting used to, you can move around pn the crf but that exhaust cowling means adopting a new position and sticking with it...

@matthewmoreman4145 I put a spacer on the right footpeg worked for me. The Scrambler suspension is limited off road, the Rally is much better off road.
