This is awesome! 2 questions, Is the page still working for you? Every time I hit the “connect” button nothing pops up. (But I don’t have the unit yet not sure if that matters). Also, is 4000ms as far as you can go? Or can you do longer than that? Thanks!!!
@blueCollarGuy3 күн бұрын
Yes the page is working for me. I did put a different connection in the comments because you have to connect to it a certain way for it to work. You'll know because it will give you all the settings. It'll say ramp up speed ping pong. It'll have all those on there but doesn't say all that stuff. You're on the wrong page. The second question is there is limitations on how many milliseconds you can go. You can try to put in more but it just won't accept any more on that so there is going to be some limitations. However, you could always get in touch with the person that made this hack and they may be able to make that change for you. I did not write the hack so I I cannot make the change myself for my personal needs 4,000 milliseconds is that quick? I made you some future videos with this camera. Dolly in the future because I've got some additional cameras that I would like to test with it. I'm always comparing brand new gear with gear of 2018-2019 because point and shoot cameras and camcorders are making a comeback and I would like to see how this equipment works with older technology that a lot of people are using now. A guy just made a cinematic movie using a camcorder very similar to the one that I just reviewed. So a lot of this older stuff is still relevant. Thanks for watching. I appreciate the feedback. Keep those comments coming.

When you get the unit just go to the website and you should be able to get it to work. As far as the 4000 milliseconds, I'm pretty sure that is the limit that you can go. Unless you contact Everlast engineering, maybe they can find a way to extend that for you. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate the feedback

Hi mate,my wife just bought me a cheap action camera for my motorcycle and it doesn't have any audio output,input .I haven't tried it out yet but when my helmet is closed I don't think they will be able to hear me talk,It is also not Bluetooth compatible have no options accept for your video any suggestions cheers Tony
@blueCollarGuy3 күн бұрын
I don't know which one that she got you, but yes, there are options for recording external audio. If you've ever seen any of Marcus pics's videos. He is an old filmmaker and he's a firm believer in recording external audio. He never uses the audio in a camera. He doesn't use wireless microphone systems. None of that. He always records external audio but he uses very expensive microphones, very expensive lavalier, microphones and recorders. The H1 n is quite popular and I think that you could probably get some decent audio using that and then just syncing it up with your video. I think you'll be very happy with that. Lavalier microphones are great for motorcycles in that they're easily mounted in the helmet. The other thing too is you could get a splitter and split the audio so that you can balance the engine noise of the motorcycle with your voice and get a good balance. That way that's the other advantage so you can do that with more expensive action cameras. Of course like the action 5 Pro but the cost is going to be a lot higher. Having good audio is more important than the video if you're doing any type of recording because if you've noticed if the video was bad but people can still hear it, they're more likely to still watch it than if it's the other way around. Thanks for watching the video, I hope that it helped.

You're welcome! I think that they should fix this issue with a firmware update because clearly they could have the DJ. Mike mini work on the DJI mic 2 receiver. However, I think they don't do it on purpose because they want you to buy the DJI mic too with the DJI mic2 receiver. This in my opinion is a mistake because some people would buy it anyway. For the internal recording in the 32-bit float, they need to have these two systems cooperate with each other. In my opinion, I don't think it would be bad for them. I think it would actually be a good thing if you agree with this via an email off to DJI. I already gave them my opinion. The more people that complain the better. I think it'd be beneficial for all of us to be able to use these microphone system with either or when I'm recording at my studio. I might want to use the DJI Mike mini transmitter with the DJ like to receiver in a studio setting or vice versa. So we need to have options and I just can't figure out why they don't work together but they should. The other reason why I think it can be solved with a firmware update is because you can actually pair the DJI mic mini and the DJI Mike too with an osmo pocket. 3. So there is potential there. Hopefully they can fix this.

After playing with this camera for a few days, I wish that I had to compare it with the insta 360 go3s because I truly feel that this is a good budget alternative to the insta360 go 3s. Given that the go 3s is five times the cost of this camera and the go 3s has also been described as a fun camera. I think that this camera has many advantages over the go3s in that it is capable of shooting in 4k60 as well as having removable SD cards and you can choose how much storage that you want to put in it. It also has the dual screens as opposed to a flip up screen and the weight comparisons are very similar. The insta360 go3s is 128 g in its case and this one is 67 g with a battery and an SD card. So it is much much lighter. When the go 3s is in of the case, size wise there's not much difference. The go3s cannot do wireless connectivity with wireless microphones either. These two cameras are very similar so I think that this would be a good budget. Alternative for the insta 360 go 3s. I wish I had it to do a direct comparison but unfortunately. Let me know your comments about this camera and the gold 3s. Do you feel the same way I do? Are they similar?.

Nice job! I have an old Sony camcorder with Nightshot that I still use to this day. It only shoots in 1080o AVC format but it works GREAT!

Thanks for watching. The one thing that people forget also is that you can take 1080p footage and you can use certain software to upscale it to 4K and it looks pretty good. When you take KZbin compression and how they compress our video files into the mix, you can get something pretty close. I've done it with slow motion HD 240 footage on the action 5 Pro and I upscaled that to 4K. If you check out that footage when I was doing that, you can see that the difference between upscaling 4K from 240 and that was done in 1080P. So 1080p 240 frames per second upscale to 4K check that out. You might find that interesting

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I hope that you had a Merry Christmas and next year should be very interesting and fun. One thing that I wanted to share about that camera was that you don't have to use the picture and picture function by putting the camera in 1080P mode. I could actually shoot in 4k because of that little camera mounted on the door. I noticed that no other videos talked about that so I wanted to get that message out there. I am familiar with the model camera that you're talking about. I was looking at those also. It was a toss-up between the one that you have and the one that I have. And yes I paid considerably more because of that feature but I guess my heart was dead set on it. I guess we want what we want as long as we can afford it of course. I hope that you enjoy your camera as much as I enjoy mine. I plan on doing a lot of comparisons with it. I also think camcorders are still relevant and that they are also making a comeback.

Have you ever had it jam into a table/wall/chair/object? I’m such a clumsy person and was wondering if it would break the motor easily. TIA 😊
@blueCollarGuy11 күн бұрын
I have two different versions of these kind of motorized camera. Dollies and you need to keep an eye on them. Sometimes this one is more programmable, especially with the little hack that I got, so you're less likely to have that issue that you're talking about with this one than you are with the cheaper one with the remote control cuz that one, you definitely need to babysit it. I find that they're all fairly solidly built. Considering what they cost. They feel rather premium in quality. They're heavy and they do not feel that they were thrown together. If you let one of them hit a wall they will keep kind of pushing on the wall meaning that there is no senseer to make them stop. So I'm not too sure why they didn't install a sensor like that. It should have been something that they would put in. I did recommend that they install those sensors on these devices given what they do but if they had sensors it would also be more expensive. I bought this one with my own money. It was an unsponsored video. I do not get any money for an affiliate link so I don't tell people to buy stuff just so I get a commission on that link if you feel that this device could help you. Creatively I would recommend it. It is more durable than the predecessors. You can get it to behave like a slider if you get Hot Wheels tracks or a very smooth surface. I think you won't have any bumps in your footage either. It will be very smooth. I know this is kind of a long-winded answer, but your question is not a simple one. I hope this answer helps better. Thanks for the comment and I will see you at the next video

How to get the audio without computer
@blueCollarGuy11 күн бұрын
You can get audio transferred right to your phone through a file transfer app. I use media explorer however you can pick whatever app that works for you. So when you hook up the DJI mic too, it will act like a USB drive and then you can extract the file from there. Move it onto your phone and then you can use it with your editing. If you also edit your videos on your phone. A lot of people don't know that you can do this and I didn't even know that you could do firmware updates in a similar fashion because I hate Windows on my computer. It took so long to boot up. It's just so irritating but your phone is always running and it's a lot more convenient and it's also something good to do. If you're traveling, you don't have to bring a big laptop with you. Anyways, I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and I got more videos coming on this issue and more

If you go through OBS it should be 4K 30 if you're going through a video. Switcher you'll get 1080p 30. This is normal. Trying to do webcam in 4k is difficult cuz most people don't have the Wi-Fi that can handle it. You can end up having a very glitchy 4K video if you're trying to use webcam. I find that 1080p30 is far more stable if you're going to be doing any live streaming

Dji osmo action 5 Pro could be the best tough waterproof point-and-shoot camera for the money. It might not have a focusing lens. It might not have zoom. It can start up and start shooting faster than most action cameras with a larger sensor than that of a lot of compact point-and-sheet cameras. Tell me what you think. Do you think the DJI osmo action 5 Pro could be the best waterproof tough camera for point-and-shoot?

I'd buy the case later because it keeps my 1+1and all the accessories together.
@blueCollarGuy17 күн бұрын
Does come with a case, just not a charging case. It is quite small. I find that I don't need the charging case myself. The other option is you can always buy the charging case separately if you wish to have it later but the downside of buying a charging case just for the sake of having a case for it, is that the more you charge and discharge the batteries the faster it wears out also. So the charging case could be detrimental if you just used it for a little while and then threw it back in the case cuz it's always charging the mic when in reality you might not want to do that all the time.
@wakecoalition383417 күн бұрын
I also only bought the dji mic mini 1+1 yet. No charging case.
@blueCollarGuy17 күн бұрын
I find that it's a cheaper option, plus the charging case. As I said earlier could be detrimental cuz if you overcharge or continuously charge something when it doesn't need to be charged you can hurt the battery.

Definitely DJI needs to make them interchangeable..I would buy a DJI mic 2 TX .If it works with my newly purchased DJI mic mini. I have a boya micro with internal recording 1+1 kit.
@blueCollarGuy17 күн бұрын
I think they could fix it with a firmware update because they are very close in that you can use the Bluetooth in the DJI mic mini and the DJI mic too at the same time. I think it would be to dji's benefit to have this cuz it would show how flexible their audio system really is and it would probably eliminate the competition.

Thanks to your review I bought the DL400. However, for the price and the year we are in, I still find this item too overpriced (maybe the small market and lack of competitors create this high price?). For less money, you can get RC cars with Camera. If you add a couple hundred dollars more, you can get a drone that flies, can follow a trajectory with premarked points (gps), or follow you, obstacle avoidance, 4k+camera. Etc. Its great you were able to find that website to add some additional controls,. I honestly bought this thing as I need something to mount my insta360x4 to get a ground perspective. I'm not sure if I've ever seen it. Go- 9 but it does get pretty cold. The 27 w is total consumption that's with it charging your phone at the same time. @blueCollarGuyАй бұрын
You cannot unfortunately link the DJI mic 2 to the Sony's ZV-E10 because the Sony ZV-E10 does not have a Bluetooth connection that will accept the microphone. It's not the fault of the microphone. It's more the fault of the software and the Sony ZV-E10 because if it had similar software to that say of a smartphone then you would be able to do it. You have to have the receiver. However, I recently bought the new DJI mic mini and you can connect those with the receiver a lot cheaper than you can. The DJI mic 2. I will be doing a review with the brand new DJI mini next week when I received the product and I I do some more testing on it. I'm going to be doing some additional testing that has not been done and some of the other reviews.

How do you put multiple cameras into one port?
@blueCollarGuyАй бұрын
They're only two options for multiple camera shoots. One. You can do it in editing by taking the footage from different cameras and adding them in later or two. You can have a video switch er and you can switch between cameras which will end up going to one recording output and then it will save you time with the editing. The only other way is a multiplexer. That's what they use for security cameras. This may work however it will be very rough looking as these devices are not smooth when you transition from camera to camera.

I'm trying to find out if the DJI mic mini will pair with the DJI mic 2 receiver. If it does, that would be something that the other wireless microphone systems can't do and it would make it more versatile and more of an ecosystem. I know that it does pair via Bluetooth with the DJ pocket. 3. Action 5 Pro and action. 4. The receiver is very basic. Just a gain dial. No LCD screen but the microphones himself could be very useful because they have a much smaller footprint. The noise cancellation is better on them and if it paired with the DJI q receiver I would definitely pick one up. I would pick one up without the receiver as a kit. I would just pick up the microphones cuz they are going to sell them separately and then you just have to put them in a cradle to charge them. I think that would beat out hollyland ceramonic and some of the other ones because it'll be more integral into an existing system. Thanks for watching the video and if I find out more information I will. It was accidentally leaked by another KZbinr who got one on an embargo and she accidentally uploaded it too early so I got to see the features

@blueCollarGuyАй бұрын
If you cannot afford the lens, there are options in capcut. Capcut is a free editing program so you would go to video effects and then under video effects you would look for tilt shift lens effect and you could play with that and you could get a similar effect. It is not as good as with an actual lens. However, it does offer a lot of the same type of blurring features that can contribute to the effect. So if you don't have enough money, you can do it for free to an extent and you may be happy with the result. It's up to you. Give it a try and tell me how it works out. Thanks for watching!
@blueCollarGuyАй бұрын
Just to be clear, I am not a capcut affiliate. I don't get a commission. If you were to sign up for capcut I just use it myself. Not all features in capcut are free. I do believe that one is but I'm not 100% so I don't want to mislead you, but it is the only other option that I can think of. You could try it out for a month I guess and then just cancel. That would probably just run you like 10 bucks so a lot cheaper anyway than if you had to go get a lens regardless so you could play around with it for a while and then just cancel your subscription

I agree with you 100%. Some of these action. Cam videos are almost looking like you're on a green screen. That's how punchy they look. . The dynamic range is almost too much but unfortunately these are the challenges we have to live with. In D Log m though you can color grade it to make it more realistic. I just seen some of the videos that some of the guys put out and it did look like They were in the middle of a green screen and that's that glowing edge. That kind of goes around you and the kind of creates that illusion. But the nice thing about DJI though is they are listening and they're at least making firmware updates. I have a feeling that this camera is going to have several until they get things tweaked just right but I'm just going to be patient and try to wait it out and for certain shots I'm just going to use the action 4 and if I don't like lens flare I'll use the action. 3

Osmo Pocke 3 with DJI mic is my main setup as I use it with Scotty makes stuff case, I carry it everywhere; tested but did return Action 4 and Action 5

Thanks for watching. I really appreciate the input. I like the products from Scotty makes stuff. It's the kind of thing I would do .

I think the normal color profile of the Action 5 isn't as good as the Action 4. The colors are to vibrant and at times the image is over exposed.

In normal profile the DJI action. 4. I think has a better picture but when you get into d log m then things change around the other way. It just involves more work

i have this camera, this wide angle update is just gimmick. Supernight mode at 60 FPS is worthy.

I agree with you about the wide angle. I never use it myself, however, I think they're doing it to compete with GoPro and they just don't like to lose a contest on who's got the widest angle. So you're just appeasing the masses? I guess I'll see if the wide angle lens is worth it. I may just get it just to review it, but I don't know how much I will actually use it. If it's too expensive, I might just pass thank you for watching. I will see you at the next video 😁
