A remote control for the DJI action 5 Pro and the action 4 and 3 too!!

So I had to do a remix of a longer video. I did a short to help people finding a good remote control for the DJI action 5 Pro that also controls the four and the three. However, KZbin took it down because I think it went over 256 GB. When I got up this morning it was gone so it was a real shame cuz it was a very popular short. So anyways I had to do a remix and do this video so if you want to know why it's choppy that's why. But I did the best I could in the shortest amount of time. I recommend watching the longer video if you have time. Thank you for all the support and I also have some advice about the DJI neo and the longer version as well so you might want to check it out just for that.

Thank you for the video. Yesterday I asked at DJI Forum, if the extension rod works with the Action 5 pro. The answer was: "DJI Action 2 Remote Control Extension Rod is not compatible to Osmo Action 5 Pro". Wow, they should watch your video ;-)

Hi, thank you for the video beneficial information. Does the action 5 pro compatible with the rod? So can I attach it to it or it's not compatible? I'm looking for something similar for the Action 5 pro to use as a selfie stick with a button take pictures for holidays. Thank you.

The DJI action 5 Pro is compatible with the DJI action 2 remote. It can actually work the 5 Pro, the four and the three all at the same time. But you have to remember that when you're operating more than one camera that you double click on the record button. A single click is only when you're operating one camera at a time. You can also use the action for remote with the GPS with the action 5 Pro the DJI action 2. Remote comes with a selfie stick and even though it's not the best quality, it will serve the purpose. I mainly got it because of just that remote control. I really appreciate the feedback and the comments. Take care and have a great day. I hope this answer helps you

@cseby92 the rod or stick as you put it has a 1/4 20 thread so you need the 1/4 20 to magnetic mount plate. You can buy them for 20 dollars on Amazon. The have the fold away GoPro style. Fingers that can either pop down or fold up and then there's a quarter 20 thread. You would simply attach that to the DJI action 5 Pro and then screw that into the selfie stick.

About 30ft line of site and without rf interference. 10 feet is more realistic.

Hélo. M’y english is bad. I have action 5 and thaïs remote. Impossible to record with super night mode. I don’t understand why. On vidéo photo slow ok but night mode no . Thank you. Uptdate is possible ?

Which remote do you have the DJI action? 4. Remote with the GPS or the action? 2. Remote. I have the action to remote. I never tested it on super night mode but it seemed to work on all the other molds just fine

this is the Action 2 remote, for action 4 & 5 you can also use the dji gps bt remote

@@lutzmix if you use the GPS remote, that is for the DJI osmo action. 4. It will work the action 5 Pro. However, you can't use both remotes at the same time. Only one remote can be linked at the same time because I don't use GPS overlays. The other remote for me is more functional because I like to do multi camera shots. I think that the other remote can control more than one camera, but I don't know if it can do GPS overlays and all of them at the same time. I don't own that remote

I used two. The one that came with the DJI action 2 remote and the inkee falcon plus gimbal. I had ulanzi quick release on my small mount and the DJI magnetic Mount for the falcon. Hope that helps.

I just got mine today and im using action 5 pro. Looks like the supernight mode is not working when using the remote. When I select supernight mode from action 5 it will show “pending” on the action 2 remote. Other than that everything works.

@@hazerun5697 that sounds very strange cuz it worked on mine. I remember using it at night time and it was working just fine. It's a Bluetooth connection so it shouldn't be affected by super night mode

@@hazerun5697 I'm using a combination of yulansi telesin and small rake. The ulansi will actually allow me to swap the DJI osmo pocket 3 and the action cameras interchangeably as long as I have them converted over to that plate. It comes in really handy then this way you don't have to worry about. Well, which one are you going to grab? They also make a plate for the osmo pocket 3 so that it can go on the magnetic Mount for the other cameras. I even got one for my GoPro Max so that I could use that on my magnetic Mount as well. I made a video on that

Actually I was referring to the remote control not the mount and quick connect. For some reason the remote can’t select or start the recording onto action 5 camera. All the other mode like photo, videos and time lapse I can select using the mode. Only super night mode is not showing up on the remote as an option. But when I do switch from video to super night manually on my action 5 camera it will show “pending” on the action 2 remote. Let me know you can select the super night mode using the action 2 remote because for me ai can’t. Unless I need to update something for it to show on the action 2 remote.

If you set it to that. When you go to camera mode . It should be on HLG . An easy way to test it is to set it to HLG and use the instant on record feature to see if it remains on that settings. I can test it for you if you wish

I'm almost positive it should retain the last camera settings because when you switch from picture mode to video mode, all your settings that you've put in there should be retained under that. So I'm guessing that it should, but I'll confirm that for you
