Hey Kathy 😊 amylase is an enzyme our liver produces, and is also present in our saliva whos main job is to break down starch and turn it into sugars that our body can utilize. Some plants and bacteria also produce amylase. So that makes sense that by adding amylase that it adds sugar to the milk in the conversion process. When I went vegan my blood work showed very high amylase levels and my doctor was worried. I let him know I’d gone vegan and he said oh, makes sense…let’s monitor you every 6 months for the next year to see if it levels off. And it did, back to normal. But because my body was getting all this extra starch in it was pumping out the amylase to keep up. Probably more than you wanted to know hahaha

Thank you Kathy and Cheryl for showing me Raw Chef Yin. My husband is Malaysian and we’ve been there loads with the kids - Malaysians are serious about food! The veggie/vegan food there is beyond anything I ever had in the UK. Does Yin have any suggestions about raw food in cold weather? I realise Malaysia is very hot (too much for me) but we live in New Zealand and it’s cold at the moment!

This is so helpful. Thank you! I used 8 drops of (Trader Joe's) Stevia because I'm sugar sensitive and it was great. I also added 1/4 tsp of salt. I thought it might be too sweet or salty but it was perfect.

I love coffee ninja creami ice cream from Jill Dalton for a meal. I ate it for dinner the other night (1/2 a deluxe "pint") with strawberries and a tiny drizzle of vegan choc syrup with a few choc chips and chocolate sprinkles. It was a treaty sundae for dinner. 🤤

I’ve had my large ninja blender for over 13 years never had an issue with it. I’ve had a small smoothie ninja blender for at least six years and have had no problems with it either blending anything they’re both over 1000 watts

I wasn't able to access the comments during the live, but just wanted to recommend the LOOP earplugs. I bought on Amaz. and use when I am blending in my Blendtec, but would also be a good idea for the creami as well, for those that think it is too noisy.

I bought the Miomat on Amazon prime in Canada, and I love it!! Thanks to you!!! So far, I've only made soy milk and it is super easy and tastes so clean. How much ocara do you get when you run a soy milk cycle? I only get enough to make one pint of creami. Wondering if that is normal? Fairly new to your channel and love your content, and feel like I'm hanging out with friends. Cheers to you and Cheryl!!
