Thank you for not being pretentious. I don’t mean to be rude, but I do enjoy watching you make messes while you cook because that’s what the rest of us do. Makes me smile as I can relate

I make soy milk often. I soak the soy beans, process in the almond cow, then cook on the stove for 29 minutes. Makes creamy delicious soy milk.

Yes, you can make soy milk and some hot drinks in the Almond Cow, but you cook on the stove or add hot water. In the Miomat it cooks and processes in the same machine. This is why I'm have the post about picking out the one for you: healthyslowcooking.com/plant-based-milk-maker/

I've been making oat milk with cashews added for a couple years now. It's Paul's (husband's) milk of choice. I use my Vitamix. I use 3 cups of water, 1/4 cup cashews, 1 cup of ice, 1 cup rolled oats, 1/8 tsp xanthan gum, and a pinch of salt. I blend the water and cashews first. Then add the ice cubes, oats, xanthan gum, and a pinch of salt to the blender. Blitz for 20-25 seconds. I pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer, stir lightly to let the milk through, and repeat 2-3 times. Don't use the spoon to press the pulp into the sides of the strainer or the resulting milk will be slimy. I repeat this process 2-3 times. Rinsing the strainer each time, Bottle in a glass milk bottle. I've been making this milk for years. It only takes minutes. (approximately 15 minutes, maybe 20 minutes top)

Thanks for your video, I enjoyed it. I think that the machine gives more work! I’ve decided to use my blender instead of spending money and still having to do extra work. Thanks!

I'm so glad you found the perfect solution for you! It's so individual, and I've been loving making soymilk again which is not so easy in a blender as oat is!

Thanks for showing us, that strainer works so well, to me this machine looks like one of the easiest to use. I wonder if the pulp would be good for the birds. x

DOG COOKIES! Kathy Hester have you done a dog cookie recipe? Would love to see that!
@dawnaharty73925 ай бұрын
Never used it for that but for the regular milks you don’t need that one. They say on its you tube channel it is basically just to Hold up the top piece. 😊
@KathyHesterVeganRecipes5 ай бұрын
Right, for larger amounts, you don't use it, but it is a way to make a smaller amount of milk or creamer if needed.

After making soy milk with soaked soybeans in the almond cow can the milk be heated in the instant pot instead of the stove top?

Yes, you could use the IP to heat the milk fo sure.

Hi Kathy, do you know if this can be made in the Soyabella 5? I don't see a cold brew button and have been searching on line - unsuccessfully. I have only been using it for Soy Milk. Thank you!

It has a milk button, yes? If so that doesn’t use heat!

Does the almond cow make soymilk ? Does it boil it or do you have to do that step? Can it make soymilk if you coo the beans first?
@KathyHesterVeganRecipes9 ай бұрын
It does not have a heat function so you have to cook the soybeans first.
