I drove an old 78 blazer back in high school. The dash is almost identical.

I DONT UNDERSTAND UNDERPOWERING IT JUST FOR VIEWS..U GUYSS SHOULD PUT AT LEAST A HONDA 250EX 4WHEELER MOTOR IN THESE CARS THAT WAY YOU DONT HAVE TO REV THE PISS OUT OF THEM AND THE MOTORS HAVE MORE TORQUE, A BUILT IN TRANSMISSION AND IS EASY TO ADAPT...BUT WHATEVER

I bought an AMR300 supercharger from ebay and it didn't come with half the shit either and no instructions. It's going on my mini bike engine. It's an all out race engine I use for drag race. Has a small nitrous kit setup too. But my supercharger didn't even come with a dip stick to check oil level. It was about $200 with shipping included. Smfh

Thanks for the post. I worked for an auto parts store with a full machine shop, after school and Saturdays, when I was a senior in high school. One of my jobs was to do tear downs, hot tanking, and steam cleaning (when I wasn't selling parts or running parts). We still saw one of these come through now and again back in that day. But by then the 283s and 327s were the Chevys I saw most often. You brought back some nice memories for an old man.

The Hemi is the CA compliant engine, you get less rpm out of the box.

Just found this video in almost 2025 so nostalgic man. I was sitting right next to you lol! I was the kid with the over sized earrings lmao my grandpa and uncle were the drivers in the “bedrock” jeep. Also the year I graduated high school, awesome memories at that place.

Well, that was a welcome surprise. Obviously a "Luxury" edition with the chrome wheel arch covers. My mothers red Chevette with the gutless 4 banger was simply an awful car. This iteration, the black bomb-shell, that one would have been more to her liking.

Runs "good enough" on old gas because its in such a mild state of tune, you can probably drink a 6-pack and pee in the tank and it'll run off of that. ...btw, your window crank handle is supposed to have a large, thin, plastic washer between the handle and the door panel.

My sister owned one of these cars in the mid 60s, we would pack her four kids in the back seat with me and her in the front and go to the drive-inn movie theater that only charged $2 a car load. they had a playground by the concession stand where her kids would play until they got too cold or tired to stay outside. we stacked them in the backseat like cordwood until the movies were over and we went home. What fun!

I can tell you from experience it is so much easier to cut the master cylinder rod and extend it then it is to cut the bracket back and have it come out right I mean it can be done but its way harder than it needs to be

If you can find a good deal on a Polaris sportsman 800 engine or a Polaris RZR 800 engine they literally produce the same amount of horsepower as a Yugo car did from the factory it would be a perfect setup
@jamesmower1852Ай бұрын
And you could always run an alternator off one of the back wheels and have it charged the battery when you're moving and that would make it so you could have radio and just only use the radio when the car is in motion
@jamesmower1852Ай бұрын
If you are using a CVT setup you should be able to use rubber motor mounts on the predator engine and it should help a lot of the vibrations but maybe not the engines do like the vibrate a lot but if you could get your hands on a Duramax 500 cc engine I'm pretty sure they have counter shafts to balance the engine better it would be a good engine for this setup and it's a 500 single cylinder so it would put out good power without being too big
@jamesmower1852Ай бұрын
I absolutely love these cars with the predator engine swaps I'm currently in the middle of trying to find a small car with a manual transmission to do the same thing myself just to have a car to run around within 10 or 15 mi of my house I think these bills have real good potential of getting very very good gas mileage

If the car’s been maintained and serviced, it would not have this problem with starting. It does NOT need several attempts to get it to start. I think a lot of the problems are more operator error. With no disrespect to anyone, a car will let any joker operate it or work on it. I once told some guys this: “You have to be smarter than what you’re operating sometimes…

What yr is your square body? Looks like a 73 or 4. I had a ton of square bodies. From 73 to 86. 86 being the last yr for the carburetor. 87 they went TBI, then in the 90s i think they went to TPI and not sure what its called nowadays. But from 73 to 86 they made the best trucks. I miss mine. My favorite truck i owned was my '76 Chevy Cheyenne C10 super10. All matching numbers truck
