I lived a year in a condo on W55 building which is close by the basketball stadium. It's right where's the nightlife happens. The downsides were: if you open the balcony doors the road noise from I-4 is very loud (ok if the same door is closed, so very good noise insulation inside); because where it is located it is very common having little live concerts/tailgates in the street in front of the building before events/games in the close by stadiums; the building itself has a shared parking garage with the public and during the weekends at night you will face congestion if you want to get in/out; there was a rooftop bar right next door of the building with DJ so the side of the building that shared a wall with that bar you will get loud music till 2am; everyday at midnight a Amtrack train passed by and you better not sleeping before it; and some other downsides... but the overhaul experience was good since I was in my low 30s and single and wanted as much nightlife as I could at the time. I'm saying all that for those in condo hunting keep these things in mind. Which would be valid for the building with condos in this new project in downtown. Better options IMO: Aspire, Vue, Sky something and those in thorton park.

City of Orllando has no business getting into the theme park business...there hospitality wages.are 3 big parks already operating....A fourth park is only going to provide hospitality wage jobs. Which are low paying jobs...

I hope there are plans to improve Tampa 's public transportation especially rail infrastructure. Without it the city will be severely hindered later on.

Don't think you can touch the railroad bridge. According to CSX it's still an active railroad line, and connects the Port of Tampa.

I miss the original tropical Florida in general. When I moved to Kissimmee from NY. Evwrybdoy made fun of me because it was pretty much desserted, especially on Sundays. Now theres not enough roads for outrageous traffic. I oved to Winterhaven farm area and in 1 year we are getting traffic that wasnt there. Florida is never going to be the same beautiful tropical state ever

None of this makes sense. Every thing to far away from each other. We have 2 Democrat mayors who do nothing but raise taxes. I-drive has no new ideas like Las Vegas has. The theme parks are half empty. Only Government spending building new things in Downtown. Who wants to go to Camping World? Even the Rolling Stones did not sell out.

It will always be the same. Leadership grew up with little Orlando. Theh cannot see the future. 😢With pretend heighth restrictions, Orlando will remain a 2nd tier city even when the population triples. Even now Orlando should have Brevard, Volusia, Polk, and Marion Counties as part of metro. Our CSA should be a million people more in it. When Deseret Ranches city is complete, orlando will no longer be the primary Orange County city. The fake highrise limit will always cause Orlando to punch under its weight. It's insurance costs that stop megascrapers from giving Orlando the respect it deserves, not FAA. Orlando is large enough to run over the FAA. Little DesMoines, Iowa dwarves Orlando's skyline. They have self respect. Time Magazine decades ago said "small but muscular" downtown. The Pyramids built 4000+ years ago are taller than anything in Orlando. A 2000' megakraper means everyone driving, flying, living, & visiting here will know where Orlando is. in the area

Ok now show us both of those 1 or 2 streets west of the riverwalk with all of the closed businesses and then we’ll believe this is more than just a promo video. It’s a literal ghost town there with nearly all of the businesses closed and empty storefronts. It’s wild and surreal seeing the pretty contrast of the riverwalk with the ghost town a block or two down. The problem with downtown Tampa is that many of the original building developers never wanted their businesses to be places people actually visited so you see a lot of brutal architecture and office buildings. It’s uninviting by design and the high cost of parking doesn’t help. When you throw a ton of different people together, as it turns out, they more often they clash with each other than work together. A lot of the people in Tampa originate from really shitty countries and at least Tampa is nicer than that for now but some of them haven’t learned that in America we don’t litter and we’re kind to our neighbors with a southern hospitality feel. Tampa grew so big because the school systems suck so employees had to be imported. Contract that with how small Tallahassee and Gainesville are due to their higher rates of talent that gets poached. Orlando is the same as Tampa in the school rankings. Most people travel after they have a job lined up. Not many just travel and just hope they won’t end up on the streets of Nebraska Ave. What I say isn’t politically correct and rather critical, but at least it’s the honest truth instead of only showing the positive side.

The Pendry looks kinda odd to me. i mean building right on the rivers edge like that? is the bedrock even stable enough to hold a building of that size let alone magnitude? just something to look into. that and Tampa One looks great. now i gotta go win the powerball to afford such luxury places.
@Electric_2 ай бұрын
Tampa used to honestly be a place you wound up, not a place you moved to on purpose. It was shockingly cheap, I remember my cousin built a house for like $55K, and that was only about 20 years ago. But we all built it into a juggernaut, and it’s becoming a top city, and the entire region is sort of a more Republican Bay Area clone. It’s gotten expensive, but that’s because we’ve been very successful and we collectively created the conditions politically and economically to take off.

From Texas who own 19 acres & own 1 home in San Diego I’ve recently went to Bucharest for 1 month It’s honestly sad how U.S.A “walkable areas” are the NEW luxury experience in U.S.A there walkable areas in Europe for a “community type feeling” Meanwhile in Bucharest you almost don’t need a car unless you go far Everyday people walk & in very good shape both men & woman Im currently in Tampa Florida it’s basically sad how every resident lives in a community building or communist type building Just not that walkable yet. Its just pretty much trailer parks or homes but with no acres We need to pay our corporate gas station to travel because after all American is just business. Please buy land & OWN your stuff before your real estate office buy them away from you.
