If this was animated like the cutscene in game it would be less nightmarish! The curse of AI + Realism + Uncanny valley But was still enjoyable! Preferred the mandarin singers, especially the female vocalist.... there was more emotion? not saying the cantonese version lacked emotion, im a cantonese speaker.... there was just more frailty to the mandarin version

Agreed. Personally I prefer the lyrics in the Cantonese ver sounds more poetic to me as a native canto speaker, but not a huge fan of the voice
@never4ever3863 күн бұрын
But the female voice sounds like a man pretending to be a woman 😂
Did the AI pick Cantonese which is closer to the Tang dialect when Journey to the West supposedly took place or is it the clip maker's specifications or default language?

I never knew Cantonese was based on the old Tang version of Chinese language.. I do know that Vietnamese has some phonetic sounds like Cantonese if you read the Vietnamese writings loud to yourself. I do know that the modern Mandarin is closest to Ming Dynasty period

@@hanchiman Mandarin/Putonghua has 4 voices while older Tang/Song dialect had 9. Cantonese along with quite a few Southern dialect retain the 9 voices. Tang was very influencial and it's culture spread to much of Asia. It is quite conceivable that Vietnamese pick up a few words just as we currently pick up English words like Store, Kilobytes...etc. Therefore many Tang poetry rhythms better with Southern dialects that retain the old voices. Incidentally the early Chinese Americans whom are mostly from the south call China town "Tongyangai". Literally Tang people street

@@marcc1830 I thought we Chinese call ourselves "Tang People" due to Tang Dynasty was one of the Chinese golden age. Same with "Han" where Han Dynasty was China was properly united with a single language and culture (after picking up from Qin)

It’s a Cantonese cover by 不是詞神, only the video was AI generated
How do you optimize this? I have tried to make a scene but it just kept crashing.

Just to clarify, as mentioned in my description, I was only responsible for the recording of the demo, the work itself was originally created by Kaizen Digital Interactive (used to be PolyAsset 3d) please check out his/her channel for more details. With regards to UE5, haha yes it can be quite unstable and crashy out of the box with Lumen and Nanite enabled, especially when you've ran out of vram or used alot of high quality assets, you could perhaps lower the settings and res for the editor, or try different methods of culling.

what demo is this?

It looks good, but still artificial due to the lack of movement of plants and trees. I am currently most impressed when really extreme weather conditions hit the environment. Strong winds with bending trees, leaves being tossed into the air, moving grass and foliage, puddles or even snow building up, the correct physical behaviour of mud and uneven ground on vehicles. And what I always find missing in forests is also at least a few smaller animals (e.g. birds). We have now officially reached fotorealism in specific areas. Yay! Next step: Same quality in VR and realistic sensory feedback (not just haptics) and at the same time reducing price and size/weight of necessary components and increasing availability.

In my first paragraph, I’ve cited PolyAsset 3D (recently changed to Kaizen Digital Interactive) as the original author and that the demo is available to the public. You can visit his/her channel to get the download link for this demo.

Haha thanks for pointing out. This demo was originally created by PolyAsset 3D (aka Kaizen Digital Interactive) as mentioned in my description, so all credits go to the original author, I’m only responsible for the recording. Since I’ve also worked in UE5, I know foliages are usually painted with UE’s brush tool which can detect collision on landscape. Assets asides, there’s actually not much hand work involved in creating the landscape, as most things are being automated by the software. So I guess the floating is probably caused by the collision being bugged out on the software side of things or the author accidentally used the wrong z-axis offset on the grass.
