Australian here, I am big advocate of bio identical HT and I do agree that everyone has different absorption and different dosage requirements specific to your body. The best would be to test yourself when you are feeling great and still ovulating and once menopausal then you will know your limit and dosage you need to be on feeling great. otherwise it is a lot of ups and downs till you start feeling balanced. In Au the Dr test your hormones first besides your symptoms then the dosage ( normally they all start with low E 0.5mg which is hardly enough specially if you are still young in your 30ties or 40ties and your body is hungry for higher dosage!) so it takes for ever to level up and balance it with progesterone (the good ratio is somewhere 1:10 ) (so if your E is around 100 your P should be around 10). Also with the progesterone ,bio identical Prometrium capsules are better to take vaginal administration for better absorption and it also helps to reduce systemic side effects such as drowsiness and dizziness by passing the liver! Also when you are taking the Testosterone make sure you have good E levels of Estrogen not too high because T is converted to E via the aromatase enzyme ) so taking lower dosage is safer. Then just monitor your symptoms like: breast fullness or headaches are usually indicator of too high Estrogen or high anxiety levels and not able to get to sleep is low progesterone levels , waking up at night time and hard to go to sleep is low Estrogen, no libido and no energy is low Testosterone, getting hair on bizarre spots like your chin is too high aromatase levels = PCOS...I hope this helps ❣

Ferritin is 60 and they say I am in range so I am fine. All levels in range so they say I am fine. But yu say closer to 100 is better ?? How do I find someone to help me if my levels are “in range”? My mother and daughter are borderline anemic. I have so many of the iron deficiency symptoms etc but no one will help me because I am “in range”

Why cant you get Testosterone cypionate in 25 mg/mL or 50 mg/mL for women to use? Men get it at 200 mg/mL and it is virtually impissible to draw out 5 mg to inject. But if women had a product with 25 mg/mL the woman could have doses like; 20 clicks = 0.2 mL x 25 mg/mL = 5 mg 10 clicks ===> 2.5 mg This would allow 2 easy injections a week and Testosterone cypionate has a halflife of 7 days. So 2 injections per week would give you stable T levels moreso than creams or patches or expensive pellets.

Thanks for the informative video! I had a lot of labs done at once (12 vials of blood) and then 10 days later I had more labs and one of those included my ferritin level which turned out to be 24. Can a large blood draw or a blood donation decrease your ferritin level? Or is a ferritin level that low something that needs to be looked into further?

My experience w biopsy wasn’t too bad. I stopped HRT because of the bleeding. Now I am listening to this and found out whether I need to reevaluate my options. My family doc advised me to stop using HRT as bleeding wasn’t something she thought safe for me. I am very healthy in my mid 50’s, I used patch. My OBGYN thought I was a perfect candidate for HRT. I did a couple of Ultrasounds and it showed good except last time the thickness of my uterus wall grow a bit. My biopsy showed good results no problem.

Would you share your opinion on bi est in perimenopause or menopause? There seems to be a bit of disagreement. Some say it is a good, weak estrogen that helps and has low side effects as well as may lower your risk of breast cancer. Yet others say estriol is a pregnancy hormone and should never be in a female outside of pregnancy.

I eat very differently than you do, as a veggie menopause woman. But everyone is different! Did you just say eat 50 grams or less of carbs per day?! I'm a whole food plant based (mostly vegan) My typical day is: 1/4 c soaked oatmeal with tvp and protein powder (over 20 g protein) Lunch: salad with beans, tofu or a mock meat to get to 20 g Dinner: basically the same I get over 100 g of protein daily but 200 g of GOOD carbs too, plus FIBER I don't know how you can be a whole food plant-based, vegetarian or vegan and not have more than 50 g of carbohydrates per day! And I'm not talking white carbs. But I'm talking about healthy things like bananas and potatoes and things that should not be considered unhealthy foods or could lead to disordered eating. Things like beans and potatoes eaten with a proper serving size per day should not be demonized and that's going to get you up over 50 g of carbohydrates per day! Good carbs feed our brains and bodies I follow Drs. John McDougall (Starch Solution), Neal Barnard, Esselstyn, Greger... Check out: KZbin: Chef AJ and Well Your World, Mic the Vegan. You seem to be doing a vegetarian "keto" style? Protein is very important, but don't forget fiber as a very important element to help you feel full. If you're not getting the stretch receptors in your stomach to feel full, then even if you have a protein shake for lunch, you're going to feel hungry in the next couple of hours. It's better to eat a plain potato, some beans, a big salad or some broccoli and maybe throw on some seitan (mock meat). Could you please tell us what you eat in a day as a vegetarian so that I can compare it to myself? Thank you for your videos! 🙏
@shanab12982 күн бұрын
* I also want to add that if you're eating an adequate diet of fruits and vegetables and whole grains and beans, etc., even if you eat some meat, then you should not usually need a fiber supplement. You will have enough fiber and you should be having enough fullness and bowel movements. If you need to take a fiber supplement then that's a sign that your diet is possibly not filled with a healthy variety of all of the good things nature gives us! The bulk of your nutrition should come from your diet and any supplement should do just that, fill in the gaps (SUPPLEMENT ), not be the source! A "plant forward", diet, even if it includes some meat, dairy, eggs, will automatically make you feel full because along with your protein you will be getting lots and lots of healthy fiber coming from the plants I'm still working on improving my diet, but even with that and being primarily vegan, I'm getting at least 30-50 g of fiber per day without even trying. Try to include more big salads, both at lunch and at dinner or healthy sides of steamed vegetables or even a plain potato with some spices... If you add low-carb vegetables like broccoli , cauliflower, kale etc. to most of your meals, you will automatically feel full and up your fiber!

Dr Hardwick Iam on the estradiol patch and progesterone pill vaginaly for two years now. I feel great! Because of polyps in the cervix, my doctor recommended a progestin IUD? Is this a good option? Are there any risks or side effects? She said it will deliver progesterone topically where needed and prevent new polys from appearing?Thank you so much for all the knowledge you so generously share with us

No one seems to talk about the fact that our hormones cycle even after menopause. My hormones cycle weekly (the same way as in monthly menstrual cycle only shorter ) . I thought having a patch and progesterone would smooth it up but nope! The same cycle happens , and I still go through severe mood dips, bone pain and sleeplessness during my ‘period’ two days a week ( sometimes even cramping and spotting). It drives me nuts because I’m very unstable. 🤪

@drsusan4 күн бұрын
Well, if the problem that caused it is still there then it doesn't last forever - but if you had seriously low iron You should be checking it every six months at least.!! Why wouldn't a doctor want to check something that is that simple to fix! Just because you're taking iron we don't really know if you're getting into it all into your system ❤

How about PROGESTERONE deficiency ? 99.9% of all these videos on bone loss and osteopenia and osteoporosis NEVER mention Progesterone deficiency when it comes to preventing and reversing bone loss. Almost every video mentions estrogen but estrogen never reverses bone loss but only slows down bone loss. Four hormones are known to help regrow strong bones. The big four are PROGESTERONE VITAMINE D3 TESTOSTERONE NANDROLONE PROGESTERONE AND VITAMINE D3 ARE ESSENTIAL AND TESTOSTERONE AND NANDROLONE ARE great as well
