Menopause Aid: Live Vaginal Laser Therapy & O-Shot Procedure | Overcoming Dryness & Pain

Today I'm discussing a fantastic option for dealing with one of the most difficult problems that we experience in menopause, which is vaginal dryness and pain, as well as decreased sexual sensation.
While hormone therapy is the mainstay for restoring vaginal health, vaginal laser therapy is another tool in the toolbox that is safe for patients who cannot take estrogen due to current or recent breast cancer, or even for patients like myself who just want a little extra boost!
This week was time for my annual laser treatment and I will be taking you to the office to watch my laser treatment done live by Dr. Leah. Along with the Juliet vaginal laser, I am having an o-shot with umbilical-derived growth factors, and I will walk you through the pros and cons of all of the options and show you what the experience is like for a real-life patient!

ThermiVa is Radio Frequency that worked amazingly for my pelvic floor affected by heritable connective tissue/collagen disorder of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Yes, it's not a bad machine. I used it for years and then we replaced it with Juliet- as you know RF does not actually puncture the tissue, so we don't see results that are quite as good -and Thermiva is being phased out in most offices, but it's certainly quite useful. It also takes quite a bit longer, and we can be quite a bit more uncomfortable for the patient but it's certainly a lot better than nothing

I had 2 treatments of vaginal laser with a Fotona system here in Portugal. Very pleased! Nothing was helping before. I still use IntraRosa twice a week and the combination is a success!

Turned 65 in Jan, been on Estradiol for 5 yrs but stopped in Dec - April due to bleeding a bit and healthy polyp taken out. Just started up Estrodial patch last week and is it ok to take again after 65? My Dr is leaving it up to me but not recommended after 65

I have been on BHRT estradiol for well over a year. My new Dr. wants me to stop using it because my Mother had breast cancer. I'm already feeling myself thinning out =(.

Find a new doctor! Have them read ANYTHING! (Especially the women's health initiative study) There is ZERO data supporting that recommendation.

Hi Dr Susan i have been on testosterone for 3 weeks and was feeling lots better and now all of a suddem feeling if malaise has come back. I have been on .25%. Is it to early to go up and should i do bloodwork first. I am also on 1 pump if oestrogel. Thanku

It might be overstating to say that it can cure it, but it is a very good treatment. We use it regularly for this treatment and have had great results on the external vulva not the inside of the vagina, of course.

I have been on hrt for 2 1/2 years and it’s been great!!! Thanks to you I am not in pain while sexual with my husband if 30 years! I watched all your videos. I recently had blood work for my estradiol # and it was 45. I know 50 is better… in medical terms is there a big difference between 45 & 50? Is 45 optimal??Transdermal 0.05. Thank u!!! 🩵

Levels are going to fluctuate during the day anywhere from 40 to 80 generally is perfect

Actually, yes, the company we use excludes patients who have had a Covid vaccine!

Is Votiva the same as the Juliet? That is what I find available in my area and they do have the O-shot as well. What about swimming after the treatment?

As I mentioned there are many brands but votiva is not laser. It's a different energy source called radio frequency (RF)- tissue is heated but not perforated so less discharge but less results ! It's similar to Thermiva. Works well, but not laser

No! Absolutely not The question was about whether umbilical growth factors have any antigens in them related to the Covid vaccine and they and of course they do not I have a vaginal laser, and I certainly hope most all of us have had the Covid vaccine. I personally have had five.

@@drsusan, thank you so much for clarifying! I have had Mona Lisa touch laser therapy, and I have had two O shots, but with my own PRP, and I know I will get more O shots in the future. Using umbilical cord growth factors sounds like a step up from using your own PRP, because as you mentioned, we’re all getting older. Thank you again for clarifying. I totally misinterpreted what I read.
